Disneyland Paris Half Marathon Weekend 2018

Highly doubtful to nope. I was passing massive lines for characters during both races. No idea if they reached a point in closing character lines to keep people moving, but I know for the 5k there was a character stop not long before the finish line.
Thank you!

Finally managed to link my Photopass card to the site, it would seem the photos were linked to my son's Kids race bib! At least I could add the other bibs in.

Has anyone who had a Run+Parks card got any of their ride/park photos?

No, you're not alone, I have the same issue as do other. I suspect that wheel of death won't disappear until they placed something somewhere, which will be when the e-mail are sent (this is my guess as somebody working in IT)

Thank you, I thought I was going to crack up looking at that wheel!!! Hopefully the issues for us all will be resolved soon xx

Just got the survey, some funny questions. I rated the quality of the shirts as 'good', they ask me why I did so? It's a shirt! What do you want? If it's stitched by hand by fairies, made to measure, then maybe you would get a very good or excellent :P I'm not getting married in it.

Also several questions about congestion, how I experienced it and which corral I was assigned in.

I think the shirts are better than the ones they gave us last year. I like the quality better and last years print was awful.

In case anyone didn't see it, if you go to the official time page you can view a video of you crossing the finish line for the half marathon. (There's a little video icon next to your time that you can click.)

My Run&Parks card is linked to my account, but I have two other PhotoPass cards that I have because there was a delay due to their error to issuing my prepaid voucher and I cannot link those to my account. One canned email response and now going unanswered. I fear I may never get any of my ride pics. I am really missing the MagicBand system right now.

Back in the States and getting caught up on everything at work and home. Now to get caught up on this thread!

As promised, see photos for comparison of a US Women's small versus France's Women's small. The green shirt is from the Disney Princess 10k, and the purple is the 31km challenge in Paris. The Paris shirt was slightly larger, but a boxier cut. If I posted the reverse photo, with the purple shirt on top of the green, you can't see the green shirt at all. Despite all the chatter, I was glad I stuck with the same size and didn't go larger. Hope it helps someone decide on sizing in the future!

As to the race itself, I'm glad I did it, the courses were gorgeous, and it was a pleasure to be able to walk out of my hotel room at 6:10 am and have enough time to drop off a gear bag and get to my corral before the start of the races. The pathways were nice and wide, so after some initial bottlenecks it was easy to maneuver around people as needed, and there were different characters than you would get in the US (seeing Prince John and the Sheriff of Nottingham was pretty cool!) I saw the last woman on the course doing the lap around Disney lake with the bicycle escorts, and there was still plenty of water and gatorade at the aid tables. Didn't hurt that the shirts and medals were gorgeous!

That said, for me the race was a one and done. I wasn't a fan of how disorganized the corral system was, and the fact that rundisney didn't send out the waivers until the day before anyone participating in the 36km challenge/5k needed to pick up their bibs was unconscionable. Outside of the race, Disneyland Paris and Disney Studios seem more appropriate as a day trip from Paris, than as an actual destination, as you can easily do everything in one day, and if you're staying in the area the food options are very poor value for the quality. I tried Agrabah, Annette's, Cape Cod, Vapiano's and Inventions brunch during my visit and the only two that were half decent were Agrabah and Vapiano's.

For my limited vacation time, I'd rather go to Disney World for the races where I will get good food, good service, more comfortable hotel rooms and good weather in combination with well supported runs. The Disneyland Paris runs seem like they are better set-up for locals to participate in, which is fine, just not the type of experience I'm aiming for if I'm crossing the Atlantic.

All of the photos are coming in way better than last year's did. Every time I check there are a few more. I got the Run+Parks and I do have some of the park photos now. Both the ride and the PhotoPass Photographer ones. Strangely the Hyperspace Mountain ride photos that they edited in the kiosk and then added to the pass have shown up as just plain photos. No overlay with "Hyperspace Mountain" written on them. They had even edited them to add rebel pilots over the people we didn't know in the photos... instead it's just a plain photo of the vehicle and you can see pretty much everyone in the ride. All the other ride photos have come through as I saw them at the kiosks...

Besides the bad weather during the half and the issues with the corrals, I had a good time. We took things really slow after the runs. We had plans for the parade and the fireworks yesterday, but both not feeling well (I have a major cold and a sore throat now) we decided to stay in the hotel for dinner and then get back to the room.

Really happy with going with the Golden Forest Rooms in Sequioa Lodge. The size of the room was nice and the lounge was a real perk. We didn't use the FP we got with the room (We are awful ;-) ) But we were just too tired for the parks and rides. As we are AP holders, we will be back anyway.

The view was... interesting: (Room 5182)

This morning, we met some characters, my friend then left by car back to Brussels, while my train/flight to Amsterdam wasn't till 12:31 (plus a ten minutes delay) I just walked around the park, taking pictures, trying to figure out the manual settings on my camera. Rode Pirates, walked through Alice' labyrinth and shot some aliens on Buzz.

I decided to get a sandwich at the Earl of Sandwich in the Village, walk back pick up my bag and then relax for a few minutes in the Disneyland Hotel lobby.

That plan was going well, till I saw the queue for the baggage drop off! I have never seen the line this long... I guess it was at least 1 hour long. I had a train to catch, so I ran to the front to see if they could hand me back my bag without waiting. Luckily they were very easygoing :) (and they probably needed the space)

We were placed in a Montana room, but we were in 2186 and our room windows were frosted over because our "view" would have been of that grassy patch with the white railings, so I wasn't too upset lol :) Plus our it kept our room a little darker at night so our 1 year old could sleep

I had the same thing just with Hyperspace Mountain

We are at the 15 day mark and I still have not had a definitive reply from PhotoPass about connecting my regular cards to the Run&Park account. According to the back of the PhotoPass card, the pics are irreversible erased after 15 days. I have emailed them likely 7 times by now and have tried calling a PhotoPass office in one of the hotels 3 times. Does anyone know if this is true about the pics being deleted? I feel like I paid 75€ for my pics already and do not want to pay another 70€ to buy pics that will be deleted because they are not answering my emails because they are swamped and behind.

Did you try just setting up a regular photopass account for the regular card? I set up two: one for the regular card which I did the day I activated the card and then another one for the Run card. Maybe doing it that way will let you get your photos.

I could, but the Run&Parks package I paid for is supposed to cover it and I’d have to pay another 70€ at check out in the regular one.

Did you pay twice?

I already had the regular park photopass - booked it with my hotel in the (now mistaken) belief that it would also cover all race photos like at WDW, so I ended up buying the Run one. Unreal that with a photopass number the regular site is still requiring you to pay.
