Feb. short girls trip - Kidani or Jambo?

I have a conference late Feb. that coincides with a school break. DD17 would like to travel with me a few days since she’s never been to The Festival of Arts. We have our choice of a few resorts for the trip. No Epcot resorts are available though.

We’re considering AKL. We’ve stayed in Jambo about 10 years ago before we were Dvc members. I’m kind of leaning towards Jambo for more access to restaurants. For the two of us, would you suggest Jambo or Kidani?

I say Jambo for the accessibility to the restaurants.

I've stayed at both....a shuttle van goes between them, about every 15 minutes if i remember.

You could stay at either with little inconvenience

I'm a Kidani lover. The halls are LONG, but it just feels like 'vacation' to me. Less hustle and bustle than Jambo. Sure, Jambo has more food options, but Sanaa now has a carryout breakfast, if that's a concern.

If getting studio, go with Jambo; if 1BR or 2BR, Kidani. The studios are close to the same size. The 1BR's and 2BR's at Kidani are just overall better rooms than Jambo, including being about 100 sq ft larger than Jambo, and having an extra bathroom, more closet space, and a better shower and tub arrangement.

There are far more DVC studios and 1 BR at Kidani than jambo.
Personally, I like Kidani better. It is quieter, still has the savannah.
However, Jambo has that better restaurants and lounge. But, for us, it is a 5 minute walk to Jambo from Kidani. The bus also stops at Kidani before Jambo for every park.

There are special qualities of both. We did a short girls trip this past December and actually had a split stay, so got to do one day at each. We felt that the facilities are more festive at Jambo house, but our room was better at Kidani. That being said, we literally had to walk a mile to our Savanna view, 1 bedroom. I thought staff was joking at first when the guy said, “take the elevator up and go about a mile down the hall.” 15 minutes later we arrived at the room, no joke! At Jambo house our room was very quick and easy to access. On a more positive note we felt Kidani had a better Animal viewing experience off of the main lobby than Jambo, and the restaurant Sanaa is amazing. Then again, the Mara’s cupcakes are to die for. We are headed back to AKV- Kidani this summer. Either way you can’t go wrong, be sure to spend some time exploring both no matter which one you stay at!

As stated previously, Jambo has a more "festive" feel but I love that the Kidani 1 bedrooms come with two bathrooms. With a group. the extra bathroom is amazing!

Both have their benefits, though I prefer to stay at Jambo. You can always walk between the two or use the shuttle, so you really have the benefits of both. I like Jambo because there are more restaurants and more to do at Jambo. Have a great trip!

I like the parking garage at kidani but it seems to have more kids at the pool, which is smaller

Jambo value studio is always my first pick using 11 month window but standard views are nice too
