Raglan Road & Open Table Reservation?

I have never booked a restaurant at WDW using Open Table. Currently, I have an ADR for our arrival day on June 4th for lunch at Raglan Road. My ADR is for 12:15 and we arrive at MCO at 7:30. The question I have is this: If I book with Open Table at Raglan Road could I still use the DDP there? Just in case we were to have any delays I wouldn't have to worry about charges if I had to cancel that morning like I would using Disney. Thanks! :goodvibes

Yes you can still use the DDP if you book through Open Table rather than MDE and you can cancel, without penalty, right up to your reservation time.

Just be sure to read the policy for RR at opentable as all restaurants get to set their own reservation policies. Agreeing that you can use any dining plan and even list it in your Disney acct via notes.

We were starting to book a Raglan Road reservation on Open Table today for our Dec 14 dinner and see they now need a credit card, and also the cancellation must be 48 HOURS prior. Very surprised, defeated the purpose of using Open Table so booked the ADR thru MDE no problem.
Too bad, assume this is something rather new, and just wondering if anyone else has run into this?
Hope you all are having a magical weekend!

That is a surprise.
We've used Open Table for many restaurants and have never seen that policy.
Wonder if RR had too many reserve and not show up, so they changed the policy?

And when I started a reservation for June 24 (just to experiment)...

One could call them directly to ask about what fees for late-cancelling a less-than-9-people reservation might be. Might not be as draconian as it initially sounded.

But the main point of open table is that they have far more reservations than Disney itself.

Seems flip-flopped when the Open Table policy is now more strict than than an ADR.
Now that a credit card number is required on both, this will be the first time I was happy to book Raglan Road on MDE because it has ONLY!! a 24 hour cancel policy. I guess it's all relative, right? What used to be bad is now the best? Oh well, sure hope you are all having a magical day!

I would imagine the policy change is because people have been making reservations on there instead of MDE to avoid a no show fee and then decided that they don't want to go anymore and not cancelled because they know they won't be charged and then the restaurants are left with empty tables, too many staff for night etc.

I wonder if it is during the Christmas season. I just booked for October and they didn’t require a card. I also booked Wine Bar George on Open Table for October with no card or cancellation policy.

Edit: Ok, I went to OT and tried to book Raglan Road for November and they are now asking for a credit card. Funny, just a couple weeks ago when I made mine, they didn’t require one. Wine Bar George still does not require one. The Boathouse doesn’t require one yet either.
