Wish me luck. Hip surgery (#3) tomorrow

Good luck!

Try not to worry about being a burden. My husband had knee surgery on December 11th and he is only now able to walk on his own and drive. Yes, it’s stressful and I am sure I showed that at times, but I love him and just wanted him to recover smoothly. He kept saying he felt bad asking me for things. I told him to stop saying that!!!

Aw man, Klayfish, that sounds tough! I get waiting for the replacement though; DH made the same decision about a knee replacement, had an alternate procedure to buy time before total replacement. Hope your day goes well tomorrow, the surgery is successful, your pain minimal, you recovery fast and uneventful! AND STAY OFF YOUR FEET so you don't cause your wife more stress (spoken as a wife whose DH struggled with this every day of his recovery)! Good luck!

Good luck and happy healing!! It's very humbling to stay on the couch and let others do around you. I've found that if I want to help, I'm kind of in the way since my husband has everything planned out and then if I'm up trying to help he has to worry about me. If nothing else think of how big your shoulders and arms will be from crutching around!

You will be in the other side of this before you know it!I am recovering from surgery for an Achilles rupture so I understand the frustration of not being able to contribute to the everyday household chores, fun, etc. Best of luck, hope number 3 is the charm! PS love your car advice.

Third time is the charm...

Your surgery will be successful and after your recovery, you will feel so much better!

:sunny:Wishing you a speedy recovery 🎇

Find ways to let the kids help. They're more capable than we usually think, lol.

When my DH had his work injury that tore his ACL and required major reconstructive surgery - him being a burden was the absolute least of my worries. And it will be the least of your wife's too. Take care of your self and I hope you have a speedy and thorough recovery.
