    California Grill or O'hana?

My wife and I celebrated our 10th at California Grill, and I can honestly say it was the perfect place for our celebration. When we came to our table it was decorated for the occasion! Mickey confetti everywhere, various decorations around the table, complimentary champagne with strawberries and...

    Non-park Day Breakfast - Boma, 1900 or??

I think Boma is a very good choice! It has some great African inspired breakfast items as well as your typical American breakfast fare. The fruit juice they offer is good but very sweet, so if you give the juice a go just be ready to follow it with some water. Delicious, but very sweet. If you...

My best friend and I are planning to go during the F&W Festival, and I think we will do this over two days so we can try EVERYTHING without getting blitz out of our minds. I thinks this will be an amazing trip. Thanks for all the suggestions guys!

Looking for feedback for Boatwrights ?

We have eaten there a couple of times, and I think the food is pretty good. Now, with that said, there is nothing particularly special about it...no "WOW" factor or grand experience, but it provides a rather enjoyable plate of food and decent service.

    La Hacienda or San Angel

Does anyone know for sure if La Hacienda accepts the dining plan. We are going in January, but I have run into some saying they do accept, while others say they don't.

Hollywood and Vine- is it really that bad??

This is the third thread I have posted this reply in today. Seems everyone is hating on H&V today. LOL Ok, here it goes, and please do not flame me here!! We ate a Hollywood & Vine last night for the Fantasmic Package and were quite pleased with the meal. I think there are too many food...

Hollywood and Vine or Mama Melrose??

Posted this on a similar thread moments ago: Ok, here it goes, and please do not flame me here!! We ate a Hollywood & Vine last night for the Fantasmic Package and were quite pleased with the meal. I think there are too many food snobs on here sometimes. I am a professional chef and...

    Fantasmic Pkg-Mama's or Hollywood

Ok, here it goes, and please do not flame me here!! We ate a Hollywood & Vine last night for the Fantasmic Package and were quite pleased with the meal. I think there are too many food snobs on here sometimes. I am a professional chef and write a food column so I do believe I have some...

Rooms now being assigned by computer

bicker, I completely agree with you. Too often people come here, read about experiences others have had, and proceed to foster expectations of receiving the same experience. Then we hear about the "disappointment" when they return from their trip. Hoping for a little pixie dust is ok, but being...

Anyone Going to WDW in January?

We are also going to be there Jan. 2 - Jan. 10. This will be our first trip in January and our first stay at POR. Looking forward to the very low crowd levels....also looking forward to cool temps, but not wanting cold temps! :thumbsup2

The most divine dessert at WDW is?????

    1) Bread Pudding at Raglan Road 2) Blood Orange Custard at the cafe in Norway....their pretzel covered in chocolate drizzle and almonds is worth the walk over too. :thumbsup2

    What are your biggest frustrations?

OhioDisneyDad, we tried WDW bus transportation the first trip we took (came down via Amtrak and had no car), we decided all those years ago to drive down and use our car to get around. If we need to be somewhere other than the park we entered for an ADR, show or tired kids it is just more...

    What are your biggest frustrations?

.....on the other side of the "I was here first" mentality for the parades. We came up to the edge of the parade route about 20/30 minutes before the start; there was a wide open portion of real estate with the white rope draped in front. My DW and I walked our stroller up beside a young couple...

    Clothes and a signature restaurant

We have done both: We have dressed up for special occasions. If we want to make it a special event we take the time to go back and spruce up, but even if we are making a special night of it we see people in much less special attire. When we have spent the entire day at the parks our agenda is...

    La Hacienda de San Angel

Well, I know on the WDW reservation site it says no dining plan, but the menu posted here on the DIS says yes. I am betting the menu here is not correct. Even with no DDP being accepted we are going to go....we like new experiences. :thumbsup2

    La Hacienda de San Angel

I just canceled our Cape May dinner ADR and made one for La Hacienda for our December trip.....your review sealed the deal for me. Looked at the menu posted here on the DIS and read your review, now I am looking forward to this new Epcot restaurant!! Thanks for the review. :thumbsup2

    Pin trading question

I am a collector of pins rather than a trader......what I mean is I buy pins that I like (either at WDW or on ebay). Trading is something I have done if I see something that catches my eye, but my wife and kids are the real "traders" in the family. Like so many have said, if the pin appeals to...

Price of the "extra bun" has soared!

Funny, but I do not think Coke shareholders would approve of giving free product to WDW for the pleasure of sponsoring a location that gives free samples to the guests of the park. That would not make smart business sense......a huge discount based on the amount of product moved yes, free...
