Going back for 2 days in July...what do we need to know?

Our last trip to Disney was going to be our last trip for a VERY LONG time. I don't want to get into the reasons, but we have a large amount of Disney Rewards points to use. Since we will be in Orlando anyway, we decided to use the points to go to parks for 2 days. I have a few questions on what...

Just Returned - 4-Day Impromptu Trip

Day 2 - DHS Star Wars Galaxy Edge This is my boyhood fantasies coming true. I grew up a Star Wars fan. The only problem was that I was not prepared for being there. No big deal though. Go with the flow, interact, and enjoy the attractions. About 5:30AM they let us in the gates and we were up...

Just Returned - 4-Day Impromptu Trip

Day 1 - Epcot As stated in the title, this was a completely impromptu trip. I did not even know F&WF was going on. It was an added bonus. We drive to the park around 8AM with plans to stay until closing because it is a short trip. FP were booked on the drive down. We were able to do everything...

Just Returned - 4-Day Impromptu Trip

On Saturday morning about 6AM, decided to go to Disney World for 4-days. Our travel agent found us a room at AS Movies that was not available on the Disney site. That was good news because it saved about $400. We hit the road at 10:30AM. From thinking of going, to booking, and to being on the...

The "Let's go to Disney in 2-hours" Impromptu Trip

It's 3AM, tons of thoughts going through my head, and I need to accept the job offer today or tomorrow. I know I am already taking it, but need to find a time I can contact my soon-to-be-manager to tell him. We will be off to Disney World in about 2.5 hours to check-in, get Magicbands, a little...

The "Let's go to Disney in 2-hours" Impromptu Trip

Long story short, I have been out of work for some time. On Friday (09/06), I received a call from a company offering me a position (thank goodness!!!!). Dealing with Dorian rolling up in the NC area the last day or two, nothing was really happening. My sister said since I won't start work for a...

    Orlando with teens

There are a million things to do. It would be too hard to list them all. You have Fun Spot, airboat rides, shows like Medieval Times, and the list would go on for miles. Ultimately, my recommendation would be something completely different. I do not know you nor your family. Why not do...

Best Condo For 7 (Kids are now young adults) near WDW?

For 7 "adults", having 3-4 BRs is necessary in my opinion. The best bang for the buck will be renting a house or 4BR condo somewhere. Most of the timeshare places, you are looking at 2 2BR units or possibly finding a 3 or 4BR. There are tons of options. It all depends on #1 Budget #2 Your...

    Busch Gardens

We are going for 2 days this Summer. Decided to do Discovery Cove, Seaworld, Aquatica, and BGs this trip. We will sprinkle in Disney Springs and a monorail resort tour one evening. I haven't been to BG Tampa in probably 30 years. It was fun in the early 80s. Been to Williamsburg several times.

Has anyone taken a short notice disney trip?

First, FPs are nothing special any more. You can easily do the park without them. Want to hit Avatar? Get there first thing in the morning, go on it, and you are done. No FP necessary. Same goes for Test Track or 7DMT. Just hit them at park opening and spend time on the short wait attractions...

    Where to pick up pizza?

My recommendation is to just get it at WBC. Many of the pizza places are shady. If you do stop at one, use cash only. If you use your card, you will probably have new charges on it by the time you get to WBC with your pizza. Also, don't order from any of the places that slide pizza or other ads...

    Seaworld hotels

We stayed at Renaissance one year and it was an extremely nice hotel. Walk to SW but had to drive to Aquatica. There are 2 other hotels on either side that are walking distance I think. We are currently booked at the Double Tree for our trip this Summer. We are not planning to spend much time at...

    Food delivery Windsor Hills

WH is right next to one of the largest WalMarts in the nation. They have some of the best food around. I would just plan a stop at it. Great for Disney souvenirs, food, staples, etc.

    Sea World questions

We couldn't do Disney. Can't swing the $4-$5k for the trip. Sea World, Aquatica, Discovery Cove w/ Dolphin swim, Busch Gardens for 7-days will be $2,500 all in for 3 of us (adults).

Your Favorite Suite, Condo or Villa for 5

Parking at night at WBC was never an issue for us. Obviously, all of the spots right at the building were probably taken. However, the parking garages are never that far away. As for pool towels, we always got them right outside of the pools. We never had to go to Bldg 6 to get them. Maybe they...

Your Favorite Suite, Condo or Villa for 5

One word of minor caution with Reunion Resort is that they do not have scheduled activities like other places. If having daily activities at a resort is important, I would not go with Reunion being one to accommodate.

    SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Aquatica

6-days and all of those parks is doable, but busy. I would only do Universal staying at one of their 3 main hotels. Seaworld can be done in a day. BG can be done in a day. First thing I would skip is a waterpark. They aren't really necessary. They are good for breaking up theme park days.

    first family trip

Budget is a requirement. For first time, I recommend staying on site, even if it is the campgrounds. Offsite is still ok. The recommendation for 192 is not a 100% guarantee. There are many sleazy places on that road too. For 2 weeks, you are looking at about $1,500 on the low end for a quality...
