    Getting college credit

Do UCF, Valencia CC, and Lake Sumpter State College offer college credits for the DCP or are they open to students taking time off to do the DCP? I would assume they suppprt the DCP since they are in Central Florida but couldn’t find specific information. My son is a full time ballet dancer...

Last week of March--getting scared of Spring Break crowds

We're locals and have been every day this week as our son is home from Spring Break. I don't think it's been that bad at all. In fact, we have been shocked by how many available ADRs at prime meal times we have seen for VERY popular restaurants and by the ease of getting last minute FPs. We...

Favorite food at Festival of the Arts?

I really liked the Wild Mushroom Risotto at Masterpiece Kitchen but my favorite was the Chilled Shrimp with Quinoa and Layered Vegetables at Refreshment Outpost. It’s unfortunate because there isn’t a Festival sign in front of Refreshment Outpost so unless you go looking for it because you saw...

Oddest experience at Epcot bagless entry today . . .

I’ll start off by saying we greatly appreciate all the security CMs at WDW and have no issues with bag check, going through the metal detectors, etc. With that said we had the strangest thing happen today. First off my husband has Parkinson’s. He walks slowly with a shuffling limp and has a...

Local with refillable popcorn bucket ?

Interesting. We’ve never been asked for a receipt. We just order a refill and hand them the bucket. We’ve only gotten a refillable bucket twice - once a year ago when we were in town for a week doing stuff for the house we were building so we clearly had an “end of stay” for that one. But...

Local with refillable popcorn bucket ?

We are locals and my hubby loves the popcorn at Disney. Is there some kind of guidance somewhere on how long you are able to get refills? The descriptions I have seen online say they are good for your length of stay but we only live 15 minutes from Disney and are there all the time. We used...

Not Gonna Lie......not the best week

Have you thought about trying a trip without scheduling anything in advance? I used to be a die hard pre-planner and had every second of our trips planned out, but once our son got older and/or it was just my husband and myself going I decided to ditch the necessity of pre-planning. We MUCH...

How long of wait for Flight of Passage WITH a FP?

We have had a wide range for wait times. From entering the FP line until going into the first pre-ride room we have waited anywhere between about 15 minutes to 45 minutes (not sure exactly what happened with the 45 minute wait, haven't had a wait that long since).

Na'vi River Journey - EPIC Disappointment

I like it - I find it relaxing and beautiful. But we rarely wait more than 30 minutes in stand by for ANY ride at WDW, even for headliners. We typically get a FP for it or ride right at opening.

Is all of the fountain lemonade "light"?

That is a big pet peeve of mine as well. My teenage son loves lemonade but just drinks water when at WDW due to the artificial sweeteners.

First time using mobile ordering - not at all impressed

Yep. Flame Tree and Casey's Corner are two of the absolute worst places for mobile ordering (I also do the same experiment you do).

First time using mobile ordering - not at all impressed

I've had varying levels of success with mobile ordering. As more and more people use the feature it becomes less helpful. Over the past two months I have had several experiences where there were more people waiting for their mobile order than were in the regular line. In fact, several times...

    Super gutted & disheartened

Keep checking back. I see ADRs for Cinderella's all the time, even during very busy times. If you keep checking you will get it. Based upon the availability I see these days I don't think Cinderella's is quite as popular as it used to be.

Resort Parking Fees to be enforced

I'm sorry, I'm not quite following this. Are you saying you can only park at a resort now if you are staying there or if you can show you are staying at another resort? You can still park at a resort if you have an ADR, correct?

Why do servers ask are you on the dining plan?

We just got our TiW card and used it for the first time at the bar at Morimoto. We told our server it was our first time using it. He was great and went over the bill with us, pointing out both the discount and the fact that the tip had already been included. He even reiterated to always...

Planning every little detail, and then bagging the plan

Yep, we do that all the time. I enjoy the planning - it's part of the fun for me but once we get to the parks we don't do anything we don't feel like doing. We reschedule/cancel ADRs if we aren't hungry and cancel FPs instead of racing all over the place to make it to a FPs. We sometimes go...

How have your Disney resort needs changed now that you have teenagers?

Once our son hit about 12 we decided we needed more space and more privacy so we always stay in an All Star Music Family Suite when our son is with us. It's perfect since it has two bathrooms, my DH and I have the privacy of our own bedroom, and our son has the entire main room all to himself...
