Yeah those Disneyland screens might have been on another continent for all you could see them in the back corrals. :) I really thought the fireworks they were launching were the only things going on up at the front until we got closer to the start line and you could actually see it (it was my...

You must be in a very good corral. :) At Tinker Bell, I didn't even know there WAS a stage or anything going on up at the front until like 20+ minutes after the race started and we finally got moved up where we could see the TV screen that showed it and could hear it.

Yeah, being in NH, I'm almost as far as possible as you can get (in the US) away from there. :)

I saw that on one of the Facebook groups. Having only done 2 rD races, I can't really say I remember who he was, but I know a lot of people liked him.

I find the idea of trying to eat peanut butter while running horrifying, even though I too love peanut butter and would eat it all the time if I could. I am a heavy sweat-er and I am always thirsty while I'm exercising. I just can't imagine putting peanut butter in my mouth while running! I...

I don't think you can really definitively say "6.4 is awfully short"... it all depends on your running speed, not the distance. For me, the shape I am in right now? That is for sure near the 90 min mark. I am normally an every 45 min fueler, but don't do it unless the run is going to be ~90...

Answer to the memorable moment question: I've told this one before but during my first HM, Tinker Bell 2015. I had heard that the Red Hat Ladies were going to be at the Disney exit before you head out into the Anaheim streets, but I did not know just how many of them there were going to be...

My family went a couple of times in July on 4th of July weekend. :) The first year we went, there were definitely only 2 parks, and it was so crowded and there were people parked on the grass in the backs of the lots and they closed the parks very early. We did Illuminations that year. The...

Wow, I was starting to wonder if I'd forgotten all my Disney knowledge (our last trips were a Christmas trip in 2014 then I did Tinker Bell and W&D in 2015) and I had to look up what SDD and TSM were. Now I am relieved... they are things that came to the parks after our last trip. :)

I don't know if I have any good tips. I have mentioned before that I have been struggling to get back into running since last August. I don't have any family or career issues that keep me from running. We have no kids, I work at home in a cushy software development job that allows me the...

I have the same issue with mine and got it at the same time... I use Strava and when the elevation looks weird, I always hit the elevation correction link on there.

I would keep it, too... it's not a finisher shirt (usually). I still have my quarter zip from Wineglass last year... I paid good money for that quarter zip! 😂 The other 3 races that I DNS, 2 of them didn't have shirts and 1 I needed to pick up the shirt at the post-race thing and I wasn't...

I got the Vivoactive 3 last year on Prime Day. I had a 220 before that for several years, but the battery was toast. Up until now I've actually used it more for Orangetheory than running. :o I have a HIIT app installed on it and use it during class. I really like the watch though, especially...

ATTQOTD: I like living in New Hampshire, but it is humid here from like May to October. I don't like running in humidity, or really doing much of anything. Which makes it really difficult to go to OTF in the summer because their AC doesn't work very well! Last Saturday, the floor was slippery...

You can do them up against a wall, too. :) Just stand close to the wall and lean your hips forward until they are touching and then push back on the wall with your arms.

My butt and hip issues 2 years ago (which turned into whole leg nerve pain issues) were also back issues. My PT had me set a timer on my phone for every 20 minutes to get up and do cobra type stretches, either against the wall or on the floor (I work at home so not really an issue to get down...

Oh, to actually answer the QOTD, I did not start running with my dog until she was 2 and she's never been more than a couple miles. Mostly because she just turned 4 and I have run less than 5 times I think in the past 11 months, although she has been with me 2x of those 5, including today...

I don't know how big Brittanys get but you do not want to run or do structured exercise like that with her until her growth plates are closed. Smaller dogs it can be like 10-12 months, larger dogs it can be closer to 18-24 months. You'll want to ask your vet to be sure when they are closed...
