Even Goofy wouldn't do this - made a dining reservation for same day, not 6 months out...

This JUST happened to me a week or so ago. Tried to make a reservation in October, got all the way through to the phone number page, got the "sorry for the Paws" message, and then later in the day I noticed a reservation for the time/place I was trying to book for that day! It was a breakfast...

Adding dietary restrictions after reservations are made

You can't do it without calling now that it's made. I'd personally prefer adding them in advance so they're prepared and aware.

Cruise ship leaves Nassau with kids on board under supervison of uncle ;-)and late parents on land

That's nice to know. I just picture a ship with more kids than adults and everything is crazy!

Not a good start to my Disney vacation.

I could cover whatever I want, doesn't mean I like have the funds on hold out of my account. That seems like kind of a dumb theory. Don't use your debit card for anything, ever, unless you can afford for accidents to happen. Well okay, but how much makes it affordable? Ulta charged me 6x or...

Not a good start to my Disney vacation.

Well, I didn't in my situation. I just called the company who said the charges would drop so I just waited it out. I don't know if my bank would do a credit, honestly. But hopefully it's a solution for the OP.

    DDP and pre paid lunch

Just tell them at check in and they'll refund you. You could call, but I don't trust the phone CMs to not lose my reservation!

Cruise ship leaves Nassau with kids on board under supervison of uncle ;-)and late parents on land

Makes sense. But I feel like parents that would run late and put their kids in that position would also be the ones to start a news story that the staff was inappropriate or made the kids uncomfortable etc. It just seems like all the worst possibilities could be avoided by requiring one parent...

Not a good start to my Disney vacation.

Gotcha. Yeah, it's totally money if it's a debit card that's being held up. A CC I care a bunch less about, but money in my bank account is a big hells naw.

    Unused dining credits...

We were able to do it on the deluxe plan. I assume you could since TS credits can be used at QS places.

Not a good start to my Disney vacation.

Did I miss that? I was under the belief this was a debit card that was used.

Not a good start to my Disney vacation.

I get the OPs frustration. That's a lot of money. I'd be craaaaaaazy annoyed. But I've also had it happen because of a system issue AND because I had an overly enthusiast clicker finger. It is what it is. I know it's a pain and a lot of money, but I wouldn't have expected anything more than a...

    Dumbo- kids can ride alone?

Adding another "my kids got asked every time." I always love that my ASD pipes up, "she's 7. I'm 8 1/2" and it sounds so rehearsed lmao.

    Unused dining credits...

Yep. They're good until midnight of your check out day.

Counter Service - grabbing table AFTER ordering food - is this a rule?

I get where your you're going with this, I just don't think kids NEED to be sat in advance. Is it easier? Heck yes! A need? Maybe in very special cases, but overall no. I'm just not of the opinion that asking people to wait until they have food to sit is somehow making Disney less special or...

Counter Service - grabbing table AFTER ordering food - is this a rule?

I mean, I get it. Kids don't always behave, but I'm not going to use it as an excuse for anything. I just found it kind of rude - "you think it's okay to not grab a table in advance? Must not have a bunch of kids!" - yeah, no.
