    April or May 2024

Easter is one of the busiest times of the year. May is not so crowded yet (well, it's always crowded but), it's usually a little more quiet as most are waiting until school lets out to go. FL schools do let out around the 3rd week in May.

Pirate Night on 3-Day Cruise - Wish?

If you are doing a 3 day ( I do often due to work schedules), it was always Sat night. Last year on the WISH it was Sat.

DVC check in on the wish?

It's nor more special than any other ship. In the terminal, it's the same place and on board it's just in a different area of the ship. Nothing glamorous or or over the top.

    II Hotel Exchanges

From what I explored there are two options. One for night by night and one for week long commitments. At least when I searched for an exchange a while back, I had that option.

    Free/inexpensive activities?

Not sure if you are going to have a car or not. If you are, it's worth driving to Celebration for their holiday lights/snow in their town square. If not, I always refer people to the campground. They have activities there that are low cost or free. Archery, horse back riding (not inexpensive...

GC Intimate trip to Sting Ray City and Starfish Beach w/lunch??

We did Sting Ray bay/city several years ago but not through Disney. I booked it privately for WAY less money but it didn't include lunch. We went back to the ship for that after the excursion. I live on the gulf coast of FL so beach wasn't anything we cared to do but the experience in Sting...

    2 stateroom

I did this but not for Palo but for boarding/booking purposes. Both DH and I are gold my BIL & SIL are silver. I booked me as the main guest in one cabin and DH the main guest in the other. We just switched the key to the world card when we got them to the correct individual staying in the...

What are the best packages to purchase prior to sailing?

I personally don't drink but my DH did the bourbon tasting class on the Dream a few years ago and he liked it a lot.

What are the best packages to purchase prior to sailing?

Yes you can do this. I would say if you are interested in any of the tastings they offer (wine, beer, bourbon etc) get those fast as they sell out quickly.

    DCL on DVC points

We used points for our first cruise. It depends on when you want to cruise and the room you pick. The points chart does show you how much it would be and then add the $99 conversion to it. It's a much better value per point if you rent the points and pay cash for the cruise. But I understand...

    Wishing Wand on the WISH

Was on Labor Day weekend and we didn't even see where they were giving them away. Two adults with no kids.

Just off the Wish - my long form review for no reason

Totally agree. Was on for Labor Day weekend. Marvel was my least favorite and was just a let down. Food in the MDR's were better and I really didn't like Marcilne Market. Cabana's was better. Service -I didn't see anything really lacking but I did feel our service team in the ADR's was VERY...

Fitting in Palo - same night as Marvel MDR?

I was just on the Wish over Labor Day weekend. Honestly, Marvel was a huge disappointment to me. I expected way more. ***Slight spoiler alert!*** First our table was in an awkward corner which did not make it easy to see the show. Most of it is on screen instead of "live." So you must pay...

    How Much Extra Tip?

We always give treats to our stateroom host and servers as a thank you along with a few extra bucks. We did not do treats last Nov due to covid but this year we will again. We have been told by different people on all 4 ships that the treats are SO appreciated. They do not get out to get these...

    Do tours have walk-ins available?

We did Caring for Giants pre-covid and yes, they allowed walk ups. You can check when you get to the park.

    Snacks and Drinks

Packaged snacks are charged but you can bring pre-packaged snacks on board with you. As long as they are sealed. Soda cans are about $3 per can. I usually bring at least one Tervis type cup with me and have it filled at the drink station and keep it in the fridge for in the room. It's an...

    Traditional Port Arrival

Yes, I selected my time for a cruise in a few weeks. I wasn't assigned one. Granted, I woke up at midnight to do the check in so I could get the earliest time to check in. The difference pre-covid was I could do a 10:30 am check in and hang out in the terminal. They didn't offer that time as...

Nassau/Staying onboard - is there enough to do?

I've been on these short cruises many times (work time constrictions) so we don't get off the boat. Nassau day has quite a bit of activities on the boat. CC day however does not. There are things to this day don't get me wrong but there are far more daytime activities on Nassau day than CC day.
