Is Disney too expensive for us Brits?

I understand prices have had to increase due to covid but I would bet anything Disney do not lower the price of park tickets if covid magically vanishes !!

Is Disney too expensive for us Brits?

We still hit 5 figure costs in 2013 and 16 however they were 3/4 week trips doing all-sorts including parks, road trips and cruises. I use 100% of my income for travel. We live very frugally otherwise and my partners income pays for our living / savings. I could afford it but honestly it...

Which school holiday have u been looking at. Historically prices start falling the later in August you can go, making this the cheapest school holiday period. Check your school calendar. Sometimes with inset dates etc kids are not back until 6th/ 7th. We usually pay max £400 p p for flights at...

    Booking through US Disney site

We have done it in the past with no issue . The dining plan offered with moderate hotels used to be much better than our UK version. This was ages ago though and it was tricky to get it to stay in the USA page, every time you click next, continue it defaulted and threw you back in UK page so it...

    December 2021 trip planning

This happened to us in summer with our Spain holiday. 2 days before mine and all 3 kids tests came back positive 😭 I had been really worried about it so had been very cautious with all my bookings, cancellation policies, pay on arrival accommodation etc . I was more worried about it happening...

Why do families bring newborns and infants to Disney Parks so much?

Have you ever had a newborn? Honestly they are pretty easy if not easier than stroppy independent toddlers/ young children. The adults can enjoy a meal while the baby sleeps without wrestling a toddler trying to escape the high chair and throw crayons on the floor. You don't need to leave...

I would never say no to wasting a day in Miami. I love it. My hubby on the other hand hates the place. Did you book the mears?

Miami airport - has anyone connected via Miami? Have tips/warnings/info?

We have had insane long lines at immigration and absolutely no lines. Miami is usually our preferred airport. However we drive rather than connect to a flight. And our UK flight timings mean we land in the evening, cheap airport hotel with free shuttle, sleep , wake up super early shuttle...

UPDATE - CMO now says vaccines will be offered for 12 - 15 year olds. JVCI do NOT recommend Covid vaccine for most 12 - 15 year olds

Lots of places had vaccines advised but very few were actual a requirement for entry. The yellow fever was probably the biggest one that totally restricted entry if you didn't have it. However it was also possible to arrive at said country without having had the vaccine, no planning or...

Rant Time I Don't Want To Staycation Or Travel to Europe I Want To Go To USA

We have a trailer tent so have been able to keep staycation costs down. I was comfortable spending £500 for 7-10 nights camping trip. But absolutely agree no way was I willing to drop a couple of grand going to centre parks for 24 hours 🤣🤣 that kinda spending ruins my abroad trips saving.

    Belgium tips and suggestions

We had heard so many people rave about this park ...but maybe we heard so much hype we went with insanely high expectations. Honestly we were underwhelmed with efteling. We went at Xmas and the theming and general atmosphere in the park was brilliant. But overall the rides and attractions felt...

Rant Time I Don't Want To Staycation Or Travel to Europe I Want To Go To USA

I didn't want to staycation either but it's better than doing nothing and staying at home. We didn't even make our European alternative holiday as we all tested positive 4 days. Before we were due to fly out . 🙈 We have just had a staycation in Scotland instead and it was just stunning. Plus...

Disney park vbloggers how does it work?

But at the end of the day the USA is still amber and millions of people are traveling to amber destinations in Europe so I really don't see why people find it that big a deal. They have followed the rules in place and if they have the time to do it, why the heck not. Gota admit I'm a bit...

Disney park vbloggers how does it work?

It's not really a loop hole though is it. It's just following the rules of the countries you are travelling between. Everybody can do it, just lots can't as people with traditional work commitments can't easily take an extended trip.

The Perils of International Travel during Covid

This is pretty good to hear. We missed out on our holiday to Spain after we all tested positive. We have thought about switching to Greece as they have better entry requirements with a covid recovery certificate

The Perils of International Travel during Covid

We were due to travel from UK to Spain 😭 luckily I had booked a great apartment with excellent cancellation policy , which was also pay on arrival. I had booked my flights with a low cost airline and although changes were possible changing to new dates would have cost us more than buying brand...

The Perils of International Travel during Covid

We didn't even make our trip, myself and 3 children all got positive results on our pre flight test 🙈 Don't think I can face the hassle of rebooking anything.
