The festival started Wednesday so that's why booths were closed Tuesday night. I heard they stay open til closing time.

It did, but by then we slowed down going on rides and enjoyed the food festival, watching the sea lions, sharks, etc.

Was at SW on a Saturday earlier this month. Got there for opening. All major rides were open and were walk on the first hour. Was great. Don't know why people say rides aren't open? We did Kraken, Manta, the penguin ride (Artic?), and Mako within the first hour. Did Infinity Falls with Quick...

I totally agree with you that DL has better food than WDW. We just got back from WDW last week. We didn't see ONE churro cart! o_O
