    How many days at Disneyland?

We always do 5 days, with an additional day in the hotel for pool time and DTD. It does give us the chance to experience our favorites more than once but there still always seems to be something we're not able to try, like a restaurant we haven't done yet. We do take midday breaks at the hotel...

    on property help please

We've taken them in the past and have been able to do a stop along the way, scheduled in advance. It was several years ago, so can't say if they still do it. And not Pixar Place, but we've had groceries delivered to the GCH, so don't know why not. I believe it was from Von's at the time.

    Fishing,accelerating modifying and MEP

How do you get the MEP? Does it just show up on your app if something you have scheduled goes down, or do you have to go to the attraction to get it? What if you're in line standby and the ride goes down?

Sitting at the bar (downstairs) at Lamplight Lounge

Any idea what the view was from the outside? It seems like it may have been Incredicoaster and the bay last time we went there, but that was back when it was still Ariel's so it's been a while and I could be wrong.

Special effects drinks at Trader Sams

Do the effects only happen if you're sitting at the bar, or do they also happen for those at the tables (inside)?

Special effects drinks at Trader Sams

I go about once every other year. I don't have time for discovery. I want the effect that I want🍹! Thank you for the link and the drink reviews, very helpful!

    How Old is Too Old?

I had my first kid when I was 40 years old. I'd never been to DL but had always wanted to go, so when she was 5, I had the perfect excuse! Loved it and we've been pretty much every other year ever since. I'm now in my 60s and have been noticing that I am older than the vast majority of guests. I...

Let's Play "The Next Poster"...Disneyland style! Part 2

True! We used to like the Halloween party when my girls were young, but these days it just seems like the after hours parties are full of a bunch of rowdy teens and I'm not really up for that. TNP has made it rain at Trader Sam's.

Special effects drinks at Trader Sams

Thanks, the thunderstorm is the one I've been hoping for! Opinions on the drink itself?

    Bluebayou

Keep trying. Even if you don't get a reservation on the day it opens, people will cancel. I don't recall what the deadline is for cancelling, but I want to say 24 hours, so definitely keep trying up to 24 hours ahead of time. If that doesn't work, try walking up, you might get lucky.

Special effects drinks at Trader Sams

Isn't it true that ordering certain drinks at Trader Sam's result in a special effect being played? I've been to Trader Sam's many times but never know what to order to get a special effect. Anyone know which drinks result in which special effects? Any opinions on those drinks would also be...

Napa Rose Chef’s Counter - Here’s How to Book It

I haven't experienced it solo, but a few years ago I took my daughter who was 18 at the time, just the two of us. There was a very nice older couple seated next to us who chatted with us on and off the whole time we were there. Not to the point of being intrusive, but just being friendly. They...

Carthay Circle Lounge inside seating - how do you get it?

Last time we were there, we just walked up and asked to sit at the bar. We had to wait maybe 15 minutes. This was at dinnertime or maybe slightly earlier, but definitely not the middle of the afternoon.

    Hotel Choice

We stayed at the Sheraton a few years back. The walk -- I'll just say it wasn't awful and I'm not one who's a fan of walking a long way -- normally stay at one of the DL hotels. We took the bus at the Toy Story lot when we could but not always. The hotel was also nice. Haven't stayed at the HI.

    Bang for your Buck

Fried chicken at Carnation Cafe has always been big enough for my teen daughter and I to split, and she's not a light eater :) Although we do usually get an appetizer as a family of 4 to split before that. And although I've never actually split it because no one else in my family wants it, the...

Adults and “skipping” at rope drop.

Being first on PP is actually a big deal for some people. I'm sure whoever he's given it to was very happy. I totally get why people were upset by the comments about the young women whose family he was talking with being unfriendly, but this guy has provided a lot of helpful content here and...

    Luggage transfers between onsite hotels

We've done this a couple times without a problem. Not sure when the luggage showed up because we were in the parks but it was after 1 and before park closing. Easy peasy.

Adults and “skipping” at rope drop.

I have daughters about that age (20 and 24) and I also have no problem striking up a conversation with a random person in line, at the grocery store, at DL, whatever. However, it always makes my daughters slightly uncomfortable, like they think I'm bothering people. I'm not and I do pay...
