    Disney Family Vacation Video 5

Y'all have produced my favorite Disney family videos to watch. I know your littles aren't so little anymore...any family updates?

    DAS changes coming WDW

Last post as I don't want to debate this because people with diabetes do have different reactions depending on the person, but I'm speaking in generalities. A type 1 person has zero use of his pancreas...it is non-functioning. They would die without injected insulin. Most type 2 diabetics still...

    DAS changes coming WDW

It is a common misconception that type 1 and type 2 diabetes is the same disease. It's not. It's important to me to help people see that there are huge differences in how the disease manifests itself from one to the other. I'm sorry if you were offended...just trying to educate people a little

    DAS changes coming WDW

With all respect, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes are two very different conditions. My son has been Type 1 since he was 3. He's now 17. For the past 2 years, he has had some lows that come on so fast and without warning that totally debilitate him until we force sugar in his mouth while he fights us...

    DAS changes coming WDW

I also have this concern as my teenage son, for the past 2 years, has had some scary lows in public that are brought on by heat and exercise. When this happens, takes 20-30 minutes to fully correct the low and then he's down for several hours to fully recover. Our last two trip with DAS have...

    Headliner ride closures

I totally agree. Going at the end of June and really bummed about the TT announcement. Please Disney...lets get those other two rides open!

Has anyone joined a virtual queue for rides while flying with southwest?

I agree with the first reply. Save your money on Southwest internet and use it to buy LL for Guardians. You get to pick your time and the extra money is totally worth it for that ride!

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

We were there at the end of June and there always seemed to be problems with people entering the parks. One time it was our family...magic band didn't work for whatever reason. The person closest to us with an iPad was no help at all; another girl came over and fixed it right away. It was either...

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

I have to agree with those expressing a little disappointment with the CMs. I hate to do this because they really have a tough job and we have had such good interactions over the years, but this year was the worst...by far. There were some really good ones who were definitely into their role and...

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

Our family got back from a trip June 22nd - 28th. We did 5 nights in two dvc villas at the Grand Floridian and 1 night with a 2 bedroom dvc villa at Animal Kingdom Lodge. There were 6 in our family. To start....WOW, it was crowded! I have been to WDW 6 times and this was by far the most crowded...

‘Tiana’s Bayou Adventure’ to Open in Late 2024, Replacing Splash Mountain

I do care about the name. I'm good with the re-theming....but, I hope it stays a mountain.

Diabetic Question: Before I go down the DAS road.

Well, his doctor has been trying to get him on a pump forever, but we aren't gonna do that until he graduates from high school for our own reasons. So, she pushed the pump and she said it could have been any number of reasons why his glucose levels wouldn't regulate for most of the week. He was...

Diabetic Question: Before I go down the DAS road.

My teenage son is Type 1 and this is our fourth trip to WDW and the first time we will be getting DAS for him. He went to summer camp a year ago and spent most of his time in the infirmary as they couldn't keep his blood glucose levels above 60. I don't know if it was the heat, exercise or his...

    Help me choose! Which deluxe?

Our family loves the Polynesian! The laid back island vibe is just what we need on vacation and it's nice to come back to after a day, or half a day in the parks.

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

We are using DAS for the first time for our trip in June and I'm curious as to why y'all couldn't schedule rides together? Was it the size of your group?

    Hollywood tower of terror

I hate rides with that free fall feeling like the Cliffhanger at Six Flags. I only rode this with my daughter because she wanted to....and, it's awesome! I loved it! For me, it doesn't fall far enough to give you that fluttery stomach feeling for long.

    Dessert parties

I have done both dessert parties where you view from the hub and from TT. The view from the hub is way better. There really wasn't a bad spot and we didn't have to stress out or worry about getting there early enough to save enough spots for the family. Actually, we are doing the pre-fireworks...
