Quick shout out for mobility scooter rental company

Funnily enough I just printed off my receipt for Gold - I suddenly realised that I didn't have it in my holiday file - and we leave for the airport tomorrow afternoon (to fly over on Tuesday morning). The receipt says they will contact me 24 hours before delivery, so that'll be some time...

    Tipping scooter delivery

It has never occurred to me to tip the people bringing/collecting the scooter. It is their property and I'm paying a hefty premium for the privilege of renting it. Why should I tip them on top???

Will character meals allow me to bring in food for my kids?

Just to add - CP does bagels at breakfast, too. They're over by the salads/fruit section.

Should I talk to Disney about this AK DAH experience?

Just to add that while there wasn't an event the night we were at AK, when my daughter and I returned to FoP just before 9pm to try and get a crafty last ride before the park had closed, they'd already closed the line and roped the area off! We did a MK Extra Hours event back in February -...

    Gold Mobility Rental

I've had my little Go-Go Traveller Elite for 2 weeks now, and actually used it round town and in the supermarket last Saturday. The batteries aren't new and we have no idea how 'worn down' they are, but while bumpy sidewalks and slight slopes made the charge lights drop one or two, the smooth...

Can anyone who brings their own scooter please talk me through?

Cute! But I'm too heavy for your Angus! Also, that seat looks extremely uncomfortable.

Here you go. Cute, isn't it?! We're talking about how to personalise it, anyway.

    Gold Mobility Rental

Wouldn't the rear wire 'box' make it too long to fit on the Disney buses, though? I always bring a backpack and all our ponchos, snacks etc go in there. I just put current drinks and my folding cane in the front basket, along with my park bag.

Can anyone who brings their own scooter please talk me through?

Definitely something I've thought about more than once! I actually collected my scooter today (it's in the back of my car with the battery and charger indoors by our hallway socket ready to plug in when needed). It's only little, and the user manual actually tells you not to drive up steeper...

Can anyone who brings their own scooter please talk me through?

I've heard that this only applies to US travellers. I've been told UK visitors have to bring their luggage to the bus themselves.

    Park and Plug at CBR

Don't worry, the beds are on the opposite wall to the dresser and table/chairs. I was just saying that there would have been room next to the two beds back when they were just double beds, but obviously the beds will take up more room and fill in the 'void' somewhat. We didn't stay in a room...

    Park and Plug at CBR

I replied with the best place if you look!

Can anyone who brings their own scooter please talk me through?

geed+nerd and arminnie, thank you for your very useful information. It does settle my worries somewhat. I can walk for about half an hour but find the airport and pulling suitcases at the same time too tiring, which is the main reason why I always arrange airport assistance. It is supposed to...

Can anyone who brings their own scooter please talk me through?

The two people would be me and by hubby. The scooter weighs surprisingly little and I can easily lift each section on my own. Bearing in mind we've actually lifted the front and then the rear of a complete Pride Victory into the back of an SUV between us, it's not impossible. I just thought...

Disabilities parade viewing - thoughts on this incident?

The way the one in blue stepped over the left front wheel of the stroller and edged in front of the child in it!! Absolutely disgraceful. And notice that everyone else in the front row is sitting down!! No shame ...

DAS and guest relations kiosks - policy change?

I thought you had to go to the ride to get a return time - which is why they deduct 10 minutes from the standby queue time. I wasn't aware you could even book return times from Guest Services! After all, how are GS supposed to know the true waiting times for the rides? The indicator boards...

    Park and Plug at CBR

Our trip to CBR was the first time I hired a scooter (2014). I basically drove in and just parked under the window in front of the aircon unit. There was plenty of room and all we had to do was move the table/chairs over about 6". Back then they were still double beds at CBR so there would...

Can anyone who brings their own scooter please talk me through?

I have finally succumbed and bought myself a secondhand Pride Go Go Elite yesterday - 3 wheel version. I am aware it doesn't have the biggest battery, but it does at least mean I can bring it over to WDW on the plane. If I do decide to bring it (bearing in mind that two trips and it'll...

Three Wheel versus Four Wheel Scooter

If it's any help, I can confirm that the Pride Victory wheels are wide enough NOT to get stuck in the ruts. That's the 3-wheeler. I can't comment on the 4-wheeler, not having ridden one.

    Maxima vs. Victory 10

3-wheel all the way for me. I'm going to buy my own, transportable, scooter very soon - but most of them are 4-wheel which gives me less foot room as the platforms are shorter, and also gives them a much bigger turning circle. I also recently tried a couple of 3-wheelers. The first was no...
