    Something About Nothing............ #14

Hi Everyone, I'm Back!!! Well, I've been back for a few days, but the Long trip has worn us out! We drove over 4000 miles roundtrip to Phoenix and back. Wow. We have done this trip before, but it really beat us this time. Of course, we were a lot younger on that trip, LOL. We both vowed...

Was not happy with Tiffany coming home

Wow, that sounds awful and stressful. We used Tiffany last November and it went fine. We did have a new driver who wasn't too sure of himself, but he did the job. Maybe you had a new driver too? I will use them again because I think ours was just being with a new driver and we got to our...

    Plantar Fasciitis

Hi tgus: I can relate, as I got PF the week before one of our disney trips.! I could barely hobble around. But we went anyway. I had to use an ECV to get anywhere, and it was a big help. I could do all the things I wanted to do. Navigating with an ECV is not fun, though. You have to be...

Why are new homes built mostly McMansions when people want smaller?

Hi LuvOrlando: I am an "older" person and have to respond to a few things you said about us in general. Of course older people spend money in their towns. I dont' understand this statement? A lot of older people can't or don't want to leave their town to spend money on food, clothing, etc...

May have to cancel trip - re-dating USO tickets?

I understood that Universal tickets were Not refundable. I had to cancel a trip last year and did not get a refund for the tickets, which I was expecting due to their policy. I never thought of calling up and asking.

    slo’s Wednesday 4/10 poll - Bug Zapper 🦟

That looks something like ours. We live in mosquito-central in N. Mn. Our state bird is the mosquito, LOL. Seriously, they are really bad where we live. We are surrounded by trees and woods. The bug zapper is a life saver and allows us to sit outside.

Port Orleans Riverside- Which building to request?

We had a wonderful woods view in #27. We walked right out of our door looking at a wilderness, LOL. We were close to the West pickup for the parks and close to the pool and the main building. It was a nice location.

    Something About Nothing............ #14

Well.................I have started to pack today:) I will spend most of tomorrow taking Mom to the store and wherever else she needs to go:) Will go to Robin's to night to give her instructions on checking on Mom, and to pick up a bowl that Roger made. He is going to take it to Luana's as...

Places to visit that are not miserably hot in August?

They don't say, "Minnesota Nice" for nothing, LOL. I am from the deep south where hospitality is everywhere. But when we moved here we realized that the North Minnesota area has a lot of wonderful, friendly people here too. It's not just in the South! Where are you traveling from? Oh I see...

Places to visit that are not miserably hot in August?

Have you considered Northern Minnesota? We had a resort there for years and had lots of visitors who were trying to get away from the heat. The 10,000 lakes (actually 11,800 but that doesn't sound as nice) are mostly in the northern part of the state, There are alot of national and state...

    Something About Nothing............ #14

And a happy Sunday to everyone too:) We just had our birthday party for my daughter in law, with pizza, salad, and for dessert cheesecake and angel food cake. I made the cheesecake from scratch with help from my husband:), and my son made the angel food cake. It's a blustery, cool day out...

"Disney trips are so complicated now that you need a class to plan one"

I agree. We went to disney when there was no line jumping, no fast pass or G+. Everyone just stood in line, and the lines moved along just fine. I never remember waiting in long lines at that time. I think it would be pretty much the same if they did away with all line jumping, but that is...

    Port Orleans Riverside - Dogs

I hate that you don't take your service dog with you to WDW because of the way some people react to them. I know there is a lot of negativity about people who fake it with their dogs with fake internet covers or jackets for them. It's a sad thing when someone who really needs and has one...

    Rides with a Cane

My husband took a foldable cane with him, and it would fold up and fit in his pocket. It worked great. Before that, he just handed the cane to the ride attendant and it would be waiting when he got off the ride. Easy!

    Shooting Arcade to close?

Well, another iconic fun activity that doesn't involve G+, LL, or long lines that they want to get rid of. It is a nice rest and fun diversion from all the rides and lines. If all we have are lines and rides, then it might as well be 6 flags. Wandering around and finding these gems is...

HO-HO-HO..We`ll put the RUM in Pa-Rum-Pum-Pum-Pum! 16 holiday nights at SF & RPR. A Nov/Dec 2023 Trip Report

Carole, thank you for another wonderful trip report:) Our trip was made more special because we got to spend some time with you and Tom. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with you guys. The night just flew by:) I'm glad you had a decent flight back home, and can't wait for your next trip report.

Is the heat of September worth the smaller crowds?

I believe that where you are from is a big factor in your comfort level. For example. When we lived in Tennessee, we went to WDW in July with the kids, and we were fine. We were used to heat and high humidity and had no problem. However, we were in line with a couple from Minnesota who...
