March 2024 Running Total: 18.9 miles (1.4 outdoors, the rest treadmill) This was my highest mileage in over a year. April is going to be a down month because of scheduling but my goal for May is 20 miles/at least 3mi outdoors. Slowly but surely, I'm coming back.

Yeah I've noticed that their races have been selling out fast. I was casually looking to see if there was a short race I could do in May or June and they're sold out through the summer. I guess everyone is trying to do 9+1.

This shoe discussion is a nice reminder that I need new shoes. I find myself rolling inward when I land when running on the treadmill (which is where I do most of my running these days). Outside seems okay but I've been doing a lot less outside (did my first outside run since Disneyland today)...

A whopping 6.9 miles in February, all on the treadmill. This is down ~5 miles from January but considering I had jury duty at the beginning of the month and a cold at the end of the month, I'm not surprised. I'm hoping that next month I can up the mileage and maybe even start running outside a...

If it makes you feel better, I once tweaked my back sitting in a chair. I don't know what I did but I was fine one minute and the next was agony. I had to take almost 2 weeks off of all exercise. Hopefully you'll be back up and running tomorrow!

Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend (Oct. 31-Nov. 3, 2024)

Technically you could do the 5K on Friday then fly up to NY Friday night or Saturday and be there in plenty of time for the marathon.

Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend (Oct. 31-Nov. 3, 2024)

I absolutely love the themes but we have some new-to-runDisney people potentially coming with us and one of them is very bad at advance planning so I have like 2 weeks to convince them that we need to register the second it opens.

As someone who is looking for a new shoe and doesn't want to spend any money, I would say always keep sale shoes that work. Always.

Welcome to the Feetures cult! These are absolutely my preferred running sock. I got a bunch during a 50% off sale last year and will probably buy more next time I see them on sale. I wash and dry them in the delicate cycle and haven't had any problems with that (although they tend to not always...

January Running Totals: 11.1 miles 2:58:49 hours Most of that was treadmill during Orangetheory classes. February will likely be more of the same but I'm hoping to try outdoor running again in March.

ATTQOTD: Completed: Disneyland 5K ✅ Upcoming: ???? Nothing on the calendar as of yet (... I haven't even started running again yet). I'd love to do Wine & Dine but there's no way I can make it work with some other scheduling things. I don't know yet if I'm interested in local races. So most...

    Disneyland Half Marathon 2024

We had one PPP tell us that they would only do the runDisney magic shot if you specifically asked for it (my sister had seen it on marathon weekend pictures so she knew to ask). But we also had photographers who gave it to us without asking so I'm not sure if that was actually true. We had a...

These are the Disney100 nametags - based on something I saw on Insta, I think they'll be going back to hometowns soon. We saw a few CMs who had lost/misplaced their 100 nametags and were wearing older nametags with their hometown.

They're pretty small, unfortunately (although I haven't bought a new skirt in a few years so maybe they've made them bigger). Definitely can't fit a phone - I wear a Fitletic belt for my phone. The skirt pockets are good for things like my keys, my earbuds, and maybe a pack of tissues.

    Disneyland Half Marathon 2024

I wrote poor. I also wrote that the virtual queue was a very negative experience ... maybe it's because it was my first virtual queue (my last runDisney was pre-COVID), but the ever-changing return time screwed up my day

Aw, this is a bummer. I'm not buying new clothing at the moment but I've always loved their stuff and I figured I'd probably buy my next new skirt from them. Most of my skirts are from Runningskirts but I find that their shorts chafe a bit (I always wear capris/leggings underneath so not a big...

    Disneyland Half Marathon 2024

As someone who didn't run the half but went to the parks on Sunday, security after the race was a huge one. I waited in line for 30 minutes to get through security and got to talk to a few pissed off runners. This made things worse for runners and regular park goers. We all got delayed. Figure...

    Disneyland Half Marathon 2024

This is a good tip, thanks! We've done standby before and it's a long line but we usually get through. But past trips I guess it hasn't been as busy or it hasn't been down as much (or in the case of our 2012 trip ... ILL was not a thing yet). In hindsight I probably should have bought the ILL...
