    Overwhelmed and confused

Besides the pool cabanas, there's also reserved casabella seating & a lanai in front of AmaAma which you can call to reserve in advance at the number from PP for pool cabanas. And as stated above, you can even call after you've arrived as they do typically have cancellations. The casabellas on...

Maui planning, tips, and trip reports

I'm glad she's excited for Morimoto! I love both the Waikiki & Orlando locations!! We were actually there for their grand opening at the Waikiki location & my mom got to take pics with Chef Morimoto. We've also seen him from a distance at the Orlando location twice. LOL about Lineage, if you...

Maui planning, tips, and trip reports

The secret would be to drive when there's less traffic. Going to Aulani from the airport during evening rush hour (called Pau Hana Time) from 3pm-6pm Mon-Fri is THE WORST! The only exception may be a weekday holiday. If you are going from Aulani to the airport, the worst time would be morning...

Maui planning, tips, and trip reports

@cgattis I read back on your old posts & see you'll be in Maui in June, we'll be there June 2-5. Would that coincide with your Maui dates?

Maui planning, tips, and trip reports

I'm a huge fan of Morimoto Asia in Honolulu, so I'd hope his Maui location is as good BUT it's definitely on the pricey side. I see he has his sticky ribs on the Maui menu & that's a MUST if you decide to go there. We've enjoyed his sushi (I guess that would be for you, not DH or DD) & the...

    Any Sweethearts’ Nite Tips/Trip Reports?

Asking for a friend: They do not have Sweetheart Nite tickets (sold out for their night) but have an advanced dining reservation for The Plaza Inn at 10pm. Will they be allowed to stay in or return to DLR for that reservation without tickets?

    Southern California and Disneyland Adventure

Waiting to hear when these ABDs will start going this year. My PIF date is mid-July, so hopefully we'll know what it will include by then. Crossing fingers that the parts we loved will still be included. Crossing fingers for everyone booked in 2022 that hasn't been cancelled yet.

Maui planning, tips, and trip reports

I'm unsure if you want a Easter Brunch Buffet or just a plated Easter meal? Not too many buffets have reopened in this time of covid. I know Pagoda, 100 Sails, Plumeria Beach House & possibly Sunday Club at the Alohilani Resort would be buffets & their websites may not have info about it right...

    Christmas at Aulani

@princessmocha Sorry I've been away from Disboards for a while so I didn't see your question about Christmas reservations. I'm unsure about Makahiki but I do know that other restaurants, especially those on Open Table are filling up quickly for the holiday, as a PP stated. Maybe somewhere on the...

Here now- things to bring and trip notes

I'm so glad you were able to try Beyond Charcuterie Dreams! She was a great find on Instagram & I hope she will continue to grow. Our families aren't getting together for the holidays, so hopefully we'll be able to order from her again in 2022. Your trip notes are very helpful! Sounds like you...

I've been absent from Disboards for a few months & I was so happy to see you're able to travel to the US again! I look forward to hearing your experiences with the "new normal".

    The Masked Singer season 6

Sorry @prairie_girl but I haven't had access to Disboards for a bit! But I'm still watching MS6!! I was so happy to see Bobby Berk & had no idea he had such a great voice! I'm a huge fan of both versions of Queer Eye, so it was amazing to see him as the Caterpillar. Who are y'all rooting for to...

Tickets and Annual Pass Questions - Please add your ticket questions to this thread

I'd advise you to verify the price the CM is using for the value of your ticket. When I've tried to upgrade over the phone, the CM said the system showed an extremely low value for my ITT regular park tickets (not military salute). I tried calling multiple times & always got the same devalued...

    MagicBands have arrived at Aulani

We brought our WDW magic bands from 2019 & were able to use them to open the parking gates, open the room door & pay for items at Ulu Cafe. I didn't try purchasing anywhere else using my magic band but i did find it convenient. The same problem I encounter at WDW parking is that I have to take...

    First time Aulani Tips

Marriott has validated valet parking for customers dining at Longhi's, they did not have self-parking when I was last there. As mentioned, you can call to verify their parking situation is still the same. Once you drop off your car at the valet, you can either walk toward the check in desk then...

    Laundry?

That's unfortunate. as @GusGus16 stated above, it shouldn't matter because dues are paid & include parking AND laundry. bummers that CMs are not consistent.

    Laundry?

We reserved a studio for our friends using my DVC points & when they asked about doing laundry, the CM checking them in gave them about 20 tokens. I was not there to show my DVC card, it was just shown on their reservation that their room was on DVC points. Did you ask about that at the front...

    First time Aulani Tips

We were there Saturday-Monday! I did see many wagons being brought down to the pool deck but if CMs weren't busting people, I guess it was ok?! We tried our best to stay away from people because it was super crowded, ugh. Wish we could've had a socially distanced Disboards "hello".

    First time Aulani Tips

I've asked CMs & been told soft sided coolers on the pool deck are ok as long as they don't block walkways, so they can't be huge. Hard sided coolers tend to be large & cumbersome & block walkways causing safety issues. No glass on the pool deck. We were allowed to bring large hard sided coolers...
