    Disneyland forwars

Lol! I was so confused by this comment for a moment.

I agree with Joseph821, definitely get the park hoppers if it's not cost prohibitive. I treat DLR as one big park. We often bounce back and forth multiple times a day. The scale/size is small compared to WDW, so they are much more functional. Fireworks and nighttime entertainment should be...

    *August 2024 Check-in Thread*

I haven't been to OBB (yet, fingers crossed), but I did go to the Halloween party back when it was in DL...so take my advice with a grain of salt. We didn't do many characters, but loved the Halloween atmosphere at night and short waits for attractions. Granted, you can still get nighttime...

That's great! The Railroad tour sounds amazing too! I still want to do the Walt's Main Street story tour (I think it used to be called Walk in Walt's footsteps). Getting to see his famous apartment would be so cool!

Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln..what's going with the long refurb?

I remember this! Unless my memory is playing tricks on me, I specifically recall a part where it seemed like someone's hair was getting cut? I don't think it was Lincoln. I'll have to look that up unless someone here remembers specifics.

Can you pay for resort hotels in installments?

Yes, to my knowledge Costco has it's own agents and it's not direct through Disney (a least I am fairly certain they referenced Costco when answering). They direct you to call (877) 849-2730.

    Vegetable stew at Royal Veranda

I've had the vegetable stew! It's really good and I definitely recommend it. I was able to ask for it with the bread bowl on the side, but I see on mobile order you can only ask to omit it (I ordered at the counter). I always find the bread in bowl form to be a bit of a waste, since I can never...

Can you pay for resort hotels in installments?

I worded that poorly! I meant that you had to cancel by the 30 day mark (of the first travel date) for a full refund. Although when we had to postpone our trip last year, we were able to modify the dates less than 30 days out with no penalty. I did call and explain, so not sure if they made an...

Can you pay for resort hotels in installments?

I do this too! It makes the total cost a little less painful if you spread it out a bit. I like seeing the hotel res in my app too -- reminds me of the fun I have in store for the future. Oh and if you're a Costco member, you can also book a hotel and ticket package direct through them. It's...

    Moving Forward... More DVC.

That's what I'm wondering...what will happen to DtD if they do the Toy Story expansion with shopping and dining? I am leaning toward your second guess. I think it'll still exist as a dining and shopping destination so it can serve the main resorts and other day guests. It'll be interesting to...

First Day in Anaheim needs to be filled, which beach is better?

For a moment I got excited reading through this thread when I saw DLgal's post. Then I saw the date and realized it was from last year... Still hope she is doing okay. Her words of wisdom are missed here!

    Cute headbands coming to Disneyland

So cute! I love the Chip and Dale ones! I agree there should be some Pluto representation. Also where is Goofy?! Poor guy doesn't get much love these days (he's my Mom's fave, so I'm always on the lookout for cute merch).

    The Disneyland Hotel Superthread

I don't have any coffee related advice, but I must admit that I am a bit jealous you have a work conference at DLH! Last time we were there, they had a banking conference going on. I guess I got into the wrong field! 😆 Hope you have a great conference and can sneak some park time in!

I love how you can see a kitty supervising the shirt making process in one of the pics! 😆 These are amazing by the way! You are super talented.

Disneyland annual passholder fights 1-year ban for selling tickets on eBay

Agreed. And I love this metaphor 😆 This whole story reminds me of the naysayers in OBB threads that are convinced we are making these types of stories up. Now we have definitive proof!

    T-Shirts Needed for Upcoming Trip

I agree with others that Etsy would likely have what you are looking for. :grouphug:Also, I am so sorry for your loss. That's wonderful to hear you are all doing a trip in her honor. I hope you have a fantastic time. :tink:

Back from a wonderful trip! Report and pictures. April 7-9

Great trip report! Glad you decided to go and had a good time. Ugh, I'll echo the complaints for Oga's. We went in January for the first time and it will be our last time. They placed us at a standing table with other people and it was just awkward. There was a party leaving as we were being...

    Downtown Disney recommendations?

The PP gave great suggestions! I'd also say to explore the GCH a bit. They usually have a seasonal treat cart in the lobby with fun desserts. I think it's Star Wars themed for Season of the Force now.

    Grand Californian Super Thread

I know what you mean! We stayed at VDH in January and I was missing the Grand so much! I'm glad you were able to get connecting rooms. They were able to do that for us when we took a trip with my parents a few years back. It was awesome...like one big suite.
