Does anyone think Lookout Cay looks disappointing?

For me, it's nice not to have things that are additional upcharges when you're already on an expensive cruise. I don't want to get off the ship and have to worry about what pools, slides, and areas are upcharges, and also not have to deal with employees trying to upsell these areas. I'm sure...

Premium Surf internet onboard for gaming?

The download speed is good, but I haven't seen anyone test the ping for gaming. I think it would be fine for Roblox.

Does anyone think Lookout Cay looks disappointing?

On paper, it has everything Castaway Cay does and a bit more. I think the layout is a bit funky, with needing to take a shuttle from the ship to the main section, but as long as they have enough transportation, I think it will be just as good. I'm happy they didn't go with the Coco Cay look...

    slo’s WEDNESDAY 5/8 poll - Professional Team Jerseys 👕

I like jerseys, if only they weren't so expensive.

    Tokyo or Disneyland

I've been to Disneyland in California a few times, both on and off-site. Southern California has a lot to offer, and it's not too difficult to get around the state. There are two theme parks, and they have a lot of attractions in a small space. I'd recommend at least 3 days, two in Disneyland...

    Germany 2025 Itinerary Change

While not in Germany, Auschwitz was one of the highlights of a previous trip around Europe. I don't think it brought down the mood for the rest of the vacation, which included Disneyland Paris and many other happier locations. It was a whole day, I had the evening free to reflect on it, and the...

Best option when you forget to add a person to a reservation

I'm very surprised they couldn't figure something out on the phone, especially for a one-year-old. But if you can't get a reservation for 5, I would show up with the 2 and 3 and wait a bit until they could accommodate.

Tell me about the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin

The only one I've been to is Il Mulino, and it was great. They offer small, large, and family portions of most dishes, and all the pasta is made fresh. The pizzas are the best you'll get around property. They have the reputation for good quality food.

    Sept Cruising- Dream Bahamian?

The risk of a hurricane is small, but some cruisers prefer to avoid the season entirely if they have the choice. I personally would have no issues cruising in September. The weather is still very warm in Florida and the Bahamas around that time, so you should get some nice swimming weather and...

If not Victoria & Alberts, which restaurant would you choose for a special occasion?

With no budget, I would either do Takumi Tei or the Omakase experience at Morimoto Asia. Both are longer experiences with elevated food.

WDW without a car (am I mad?)

This is normally what I do. I find it's usually cheaper and more convenient to use Uber/Lyft around property and when going to nearby locations. The only place I might recommend a car is if you're doing multiple days at Universal, since getting a rideshare around closing time can be tough.

    China ABD Question

Probably too much, unless they've been on international trips before and can handle long days. You also tend to wake up early on these trips.

    First ABD trip gratuities question

Most people tip within or above that range. I'd guest it's about 50/50 between those two options, so you can decide when you do the trip. Cash in either the local currency or USD works. In the handbook for my trips, ABD also specified Paypal as an option.

Disappointing Adult Cruise On The Dream

Disney really can't win with their dedicated adult areas. They make big separate ones on the older ships, and the bars are empty after 9 pm. Then they spread them around the ship, allowing more people to visit and see them, and people don't like how they're spread out.

2025 Land Trips Announced, Booking Starts Between May 7 and 10

Krakow is really fun, but from what I understand, bookings for this trip fell when they initially switched from Salzburg. People really like the Sound of Music elements.

Could the current Trails End be temporary?

I highly doubt they would change it right back after redoing the space. I do think the DVC cabins should have access to a table service restaurant, but if anything, I think the new building would have both a table and quick service option.

New golf cart rules, you need insurance if not using disney carts!

If your car or camper insurance doesn't cover a rented golf cart, I'm sure the off-site companies will start to offer insurance policies for this purpose.

    Best cruise for Glacier Bay

I remember hearing an announcement like this, very disappointing in my opinion. They previously dropped Kinky Boots from the Encore.

2025 Land Trips Announced, Booking Starts Between May 7 and 10

The 2025 land adventures have been announced, with the big news being the return of Salzburg to the Central Europe trip. Rather than Krakow to Prague to Vienna, the trip is going back to the old itinerary of Prague to Salzburg to Vienna. This also means guests will get to visit some filming...

    Best cruise for Glacier Bay

For traveling with tweens, I would lean towards NCL. I have also heard good things about the kid programs on Princess, but NCL will have the most things for them to do. The NCL Encore goes to Glacier Bay and has multiple waterslides, go karts, laser tag, an arcade, and the normal kid clubs. I...
