Would you rather - park hopper vs. base tickets edition...

If you can swing 4 days I would definitely do that. I know park hoppers are popular on this board but we find them to be overrated. Even the year we had an AP we only park hopped a couple times (out of 28 park days.)

They are here! (Summer 2025 I mean)

We are going through a travel agent but we decided on a summer 2025 new “double dip” (one each of the Disney islands) 5 night Dream. Finally getting around to the cancelled cruise from 2020.

    Poll: Which Animal Kingdom Show?

The Nemo show is great but its long and we always find it difficult to work the show times into our schedule. We definitely don't see it every trip. I feel like Feathered Friends is a lot easier to just pop in, see the show, move along.

Best time to take young kids out of school?

This or early December. Don't go in March or April.

    Next Batch of Cruises

Our first cruise was on the Fantasy (7 night Eastern) and we loved it. But as a pp said we are now priced out of the longer cruises so we are pretty much stuck with the 4/5 night Bahamian ones if we want to go. Splitting 7 nights into 4 and 3 is definitely more profitable for DCL.

    DAS opinions please!

It seems to be more of an issue getting DAS at Disneyland than WDW. Most of the reports of denial were from there. Obviously YMMV.

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

We were there 16th to 23rd last Christmas and seemed worse than what you are describing this year, Hollywood especially. We only rode ToT once and my kids were so bummed.

Official APH Rate Info for Universal Loews Hotel Properties

I know. I found an old receipt from December 16-23rd, 2021 where we stayed at HRH on Savvy Traveler rate for $268/night. I am not kidding. I already told my family we may never be able to stay there again! LOL!

Everything Park Reservations - Please Read Post 1

Are you arriving after January 9th? Park reservations are no longer needed after that day for date-based tickets.

    Crohn’s & DAS- Update

I wondered this. My friend's son has T1 diabetes and she said they didn't even ask her what her concerns with the line were. She just stated the health condition and was instantly approved. (Not saying she shouldn't have qualified, just found it interesting the way the interview went down.) To...

Universal now requiring documentation be sent to a third party for accessibility

My DH has an upcoming medical visit with his provider, at which time he is going to ask for a letter for IBCCES. I am still a bit confused as to what we should ask for the letter to say. Should it state the name of the condition and/or the symptoms? Does it need to specifically use the exact...

Universal now requiring documentation be sent to a third party for accessibility

I can't speak to the new system because I have not been there since it started, but under the old system, the AAP holder in our group was able to take our tickets and go to GS without us being there and they had no problem attaching our tickets to it.

Universal now requiring documentation be sent to a third party for accessibility

What happens if you leave the line and your party reaches the front of the line while you are gone? What happens if you don't know how long you will be gone and it could be a long while?

    DAS with a larger party

When we went last December they didn’t care how many people were associated with the DAS (we had 11) but still has the rule of only any 5 could with with the DAS holder on any one ride. The rest of our group (7/11) did pay for G+ and for the most part we were able to make it work. They selected...

    Change in DAS at Disneyland

What I don't understand is why you sound positively gleeful at something being taken away from someone else. How is my family currently harming you?

    Change in DAS at Disneyland

Your family member is free to decline the DAS if she doesn't like it. For my family member it has made all the difference for them. Thankfully none of us are the decider of who "needs" the DAS.

    Change in DAS at Disneyland

It sounds to me like what you are saying is that YOUR family's disability should qualify for DAS, but OTHER families' disabilities should not. How does another family's accommodation negatively affect YOU? And we have no idea if Disney has made any, or plans to make any, changes to DAS. All we...

    Change in DAS at Disneyland

I think the cries of "abuse" are overblown on the internet. When we go in person (admittedly only every year or two) I see very few people using the pass. I personally think its better to let a few "abusers" through than to discourage or block people who have legitimate need.

    Change in DAS at Disneyland

I agree, but this is true whether the person's disability is autism related or GI related, or a slew of other disabilities that are also none of my business. I'm not sure why people on this board are splitting hairs arguing which disabilities are more deserving of accommodation. People should be...

    Change in DAS at Disneyland

Imagine the uproar if a group whose stated purpose was GI medical issues and promoting accommodations for GI sufferers was tasked with certifying accommodations for Autistic or other neurodivergent people.
