When is everyone going to Disney?

Booked for Tokyo Disney March 2021 (had booked before the pandemic). Likelihood of getting into the country by then - about 5% or less 🥺

A piece of Disney history - real light desk used for Mulan, Lilo & Stitch, Brother Bear

Such an amazing piece of Disney history. Really hope it finds a good home where it could be displayed properly (rather than hidden away in someone’s private collection). Thank you for posting the link so we could see it before it sells (a bit too expensive to ship to Scotland).

Rethinking going to Japan... just talking out loud... Thoughts?

Oh dear, that does not sound good at all and I really hope that’s not the case as would essentially end my families trip to Japan next spring. My Mum is coming up for 80 and this was a trip of a lifetime for her after my Dad died so pushing it back 5 years would probably mean she wouldn’t be...

Rethinking going to Japan... just talking out loud... Thoughts?

Given Japan’s quarantine and entry ban for those entering the country, how realistic does people think that these will be lifted by the end of 2020? Have booked family holiday for March 2021. At the moment we’ve paid the deposit for the land only part. Travel agent has been furloughed and no...

    .

They look pretty but serious question, who has the space to collect all 10 of them and would be over £1200 for all of them - ouch!

Rethinking going to Japan... just talking out loud... Thoughts?

Would be worried if Japan does decide to go ahead with the Olympics tbh. Lots of countries will still not have reached their “peak” or have travel restrictions. Why take the risk of reinfection of your country when figures there are lower. Surely it would just increase the numbers there?

Frozen 2 Converse; A Savage Tale

So if you were expecting to pay for at least one of the pairs then you should have chosen the pair you wanted the most and bought those yourself and added the second pair to the list. If you were worried that pair were too expensive for the list then you should have been prepared not to get them...

Rethinking going to Japan... just talking out loud... Thoughts?

Must admit I’m more concerned about a second wave towards the end of the year than now. If it mutates over the summer then it could be even worse next year (with a higher mortality rate) and by then people will be more complacent (having thought, oh it’s not too bad as it didn’t affect me / my...

Frozen 2 Converse; A Savage Tale

I get you’re disappointed but if you had really wanted them then you should have bought them yourself rather than rely on other people (irrespective of being family members and gift list). The fact you had asked for 2 pairs meant you suffered double disappointment - ask for one and buy the other...

    Where do we even begin...?!

I’m in the process of booking an extension to the end of a Japanese tour (that takes in Osaka, Kyoto and Hiroshima as well as Tokyo). We’re staying 4 nights at the Hilton Tokyo Bay hotel (with a 3 day ticket). I’ll also get an after 6pm ticket for the first night so you could do a split stay -...

    Disney Subscription Boxes UK

Just to add, Paradise Falls Mail do a monthly box in the U.K. (though this may change soon to quarterly). They use small independent companies to produce a limited quantity of items to go into each box (usually a t-shirt, fan art print, maybe a mug or coin case etc). It’s first come, first...

DH did ask how much it would cost.....

DLP is not meant to be a 14 day experience but a couple of days to let you test if your kids would like it. They won’t waste a fastpass if they suddenly freak out at a dark ride or rollercoaster for example and you can then plan effectively what fastpasses they might want when you do decide to...

DH did ask how much it would cost.....

Actually been to Disneyland, Disney World, HK Disney and DLP and yes, DLP is smaller than the American parks but if they haven’t been to a park before, it’s a good introduction and let’s the kids have a feel for the type of attractions they might want to try if, they decide to go to Disney World...

DH did ask how much it would cost.....

Disneyland Paris would be cheaper. If you don’t mind staying off site then can usually get a decent deal with The Dream Castle or Circus Circus hotel. Could perhaps go there for a few days to get him into the Disney spirit then save for Disney World? How old are the kids? My DD is 8. Took her to...

When does the cost of Disney stop it being magical

Been to 4 Disney locations. Paris I never stay in a Disney property but at one of the feeder hotels and buy the tickets separately. Two day ticket is all you really need for both parks so can be done relatively cheaply. Flights are also pretty cheap so usually book independently. Florida was...

which one is better Hong Kong or Shanghai

I can’t remember riding on any of the rides but do remember the food! They had mango pudding in a Mickey head container and dim sum which was delicious. I bought a t-shirt (which I’ve still got in pristine condition as never worn). Also remember the train as the windows were Mickey heads and...

How bad is World Showcase (not F&W booths) on F&W weekends?

Was there on the 13th October and it was bordering on hell. World showcase was really busy and long lines at most of the booths we walked past (we arrived about 12 noon as had a couple of fastpasses booked - last of which was Frozen in Norway. Mexico was rammed with people (inside the Pavillion)...
