Before date based tickets, offsite guests could pretty much make a FP for any day in the next 30 days. They often used that feature to "practice" making FP. But you are correct in that now the 30 days is calculated before the ticket's valid dates.

Since you have no valid tickets during the dates of your first stay, your FP window opens 60 days prior to your second stay. If your two stays had been back to back, then it would open for the first stay.
