Exchange rate at all time low

Managed to get half at 1.28 and half at 1.31 with Revolut a few weeks ago. Card now loaded and ready for our visit later this month.

    Sorcerer Heidi

So sorry to hear this - always appreciated her input and interaction on here - she will be sadly missed and I will certainly be remembering her when we are in MK come September.

What would you like to see in the new era?

Totally agree - have found myself increasingly bored with the direction it's been going in over the past months.

    Time difference.

We treat our arrival day as if we just had a late night out in the UK - go to bed at the usual time, say 10:30pm local and get up at the usual time say 7:30ish after a good 8 hours of sleep.

    Disney's ALL-STAR MUSIC RESORT Information & Questions

We stayed there a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Two nice pools and not too far to walk to the food court and buses.

Choosing between BOG and Storybook dining?

BOG not what it used to be as no photo op with The Beast. Food not as good as it was originally - now consider it overpriced (even in Disney terms) for what you get. Not tried Storybook yet but are aiming to get there on our next visit in September.

    WDW Ultimate 14 day ticket

If you are staying on site and your ticket came as part of the package then Disney sets the start date to be that of your arrival. However the ticket is “activated” when you check in and you can then ask to reset the start date to the day that you plan to make your first park visit. I have an...

    WDW Ultimate 14 day ticket

I contacted ticketing and received an email to confirm that the original date for the start of the 18 day period is shown as your day of arrival but once the ticket is activated when you check in it can be set to start on the day of your first park visit.

    Beignets at French Quarter

Has it changed since 2018 - then they were available from the main food court?

    do we qualify

You sure do! Welcome to the club - we are both well into our 70's according to the calendar but are in our 7's when we get to Disney! :rotfl2:

    WDW tickets 2023

Booked for next September/October back in July this year with Virgin and the 14 for 7day Magic ticket was included. Have already made several park reservations based on the 18days currently available. Checked with ticketing who told me that, once I have checked in at the resort then I can...

14 Day passes and water parks

Further to the 18 day ticket period I recently had a discussion with Ticketing and the lady there told me that once I had checked in at the resort then the park Ticket was activated and I could then change the start day for the 18 days to whenever was convenient for me. This is great as we...

14 Day passes and water parks

Your 14 day ticket can be used over the first 18 days of your holiday - day 1 being the day that you arrive at a Disney resort if staying on-site. Not sure what happens if you are staying off-site.

    Jan/Feb 2022

Things are still uncertain aren't they. We were planning on this year then thought about 2022 but have now decided on April/May 2023 for our next visit. Not only the uncertainty associated with the ever evolving pandemic but also because of the 50th anniversary 2022 is going to be manic. We...

RIP Magical Express (in 2022) 😥

Used ME once - bad experience so won't miss it as we decided not to use it again. We do not hire a car so that is an expense that we don't have so we stay on site and use internal transport. The only facors then that causes us to think twice about visiting is the free dining and the type of...

it's done - i cancelled our 3 week summer 2021 trip.....with what's happening with covid, we didn't feel confident enough to hold out any longer...

Agreed - we spend thousands to go to Florida for the truly wonderful Disney experience but now that experience is far from the wonderful that we used to enjoy. We have put off all thoughts of returning until things are back to normal and if that never happens then so be it and we will enjoy our...

    UK Christmas traditions...

We had exactly the same - also had the custard with the Christmas pud!

    UK Christmas traditions...

Don't bother with Dr. Who - not a British tradition! Queen's speech is definitely traditional. The only dessert for setting on fire at Christmas (brandy poured over then lit) is a traditional Christmas fruit pudding as was brought to your Thanksgiving dinner. The original home made puddings...

    Any USA entry updates?

With the recent news we are hoping that things will be more "normal" for our now proposed trip in Spring 2022.

    Any USA entry updates?

Not even contemplating 2021 at all now - waiting to see how things pan out for 2022.
