Travel Advisory - Canadian’s out of country

Some food for thought. The disease has been publically known since December. It wasn’t in crisis mode until probably mid February. people across the world travelled without knowing. It spread. Original testing was only done on the severely sick. Ones likely already in hospitals. As we learned...

Travel Advisory - Canadian’s out of country

At the best of times there is no rational discussion on the internet. Someone reads part of something, puts their own spin on it, then throws back an argument based on an irrelevant assumption. If its as rampant and contagious as people think it is then it’s likely a guarantee I have been...

Travel Advisory - Canadian’s out of country

I've been a front line first responder for 14 years. I've been around many dangerous viruses and diseases, many of which are much more contagious and deadly than this. I have never contracted any major illness. My biggest piece of advice for anyone is dont panic. In times like these...

Airmiles Mega Miles BONUS MILES HAVE POSTED!!

Got that one two for Alberta. Sucks for us because there isnt really a shell close to us so gotta make an effort to go. I think what I may do is two transactions. Fill 25L (maybe 26) stop. Then fill the rest of tank on a new transaction. Our van is a 70L tank so I'll just make sure we go when...

What is your favorite deck for your room? We are looking at Oasis of the Seas.

We’ve been on different decks for each of our 5 cruises. Usually chose a higher deck. We always chose a deck that was sandwiched between two levels of staterooms As we figure those will be quieter. this past cruise on Harmony we did a guaranteed room. We were a little worried especially when we...

    Celebrity in Europe with kids?

We are doing a Europe cruise (Baltic) in 2021 with our kids. They will be 9 and 7 when we go. We have done Celebrity before but not with kids. We were on the Eclipse when we did Alaska in the summer a couple years ago. There weren’t many kids on the ship. I think they said less than 100 so not...

THINKING About A Royal Cruise, Help?

I also recommend using a TA for cruises. We got hooked up with one through expedia a couple years ago and have used her several times since. They've always offered an onboard credit in addition to whatever Royal has been offering. We recently booked two inside stateroom for a Baltic Cruise next...

    Please TIP, for goodness sake.

These threads are always good for a few laughs. I've been in enough so not going to comment on tipping practices in this one but the generalities that come across always seem to be the same. Now before anyone freaks out I'm not saying its everyone; I'm just saying it SEEMS to be a common theme...

    Nexus for Children

We decided to apply for Nexus and give it a shot. For 50 bucks we figured if we don't like it we just won't renew. Anyway, It says kids under 18 are free but need an application. I can't find anywhere on the site where I can apply for my children. Mine are 5 and 7. They don't have email...

Trip Insurance that specifically covers denied boarding

The two coverages are different. If you get sick on vacation the medical would be covered but they may not pay for your cancelled plans. That is where trip interruption/cancellation comes in but that all depends on their fine print as well.

Trip Insurance that specifically covers denied boarding

I'm not saying I'm right or wrong as don't have specific experience with medical contracts but have lots of experience with other legal contracts and the principals are essentially the same. I think what you are asking depends on a specific series of events. Are you asking if you have...

Choosing a secondary Travel Credit Card

That's interesting. Thank you. We aren't planning on getting a new card for a few months anyway. Based on the way it is now we think the Scotia bank Infinite Visa is the best for us in conjunction with our WJ mastercard. Especially if there will be a minimum spend on the Rogers card as we won't...
