We just got back from universal a few weeks ago. We upgraded our passes to two parks preferred. We were told there were no black outs on the passes.

I just saw an announcement for universal holidays 2019. It stated the dates this year are November 16th through January 5th. It gave no specific dates for them but said Mannheim was returning.

The walk is not bad at all. we were feeling adventurous on our last stay and walked from portofino to sapphire falls. Not a bad walk at all. And sapphire falls is absolutely beautiful. We ate several times there and fell in love with the place.

I would do universal after Disney, it is so much more relaxing. We have special needs son and get the disability pass. With that you really don’t need express pass.

Not sure what your budget is. We’ve done two bedroom portofino suite at portofino. Also done connecting two bedrooms there.

We’re home now. Had such a great time my husband is taking us back for a mother’s day present for me.

We’ve had garden view in the past and had a patio facing the bocce ball court. If it’s slow you could ask for an upgrade to bay view. We’ve done this also and have gotten a balcony. It can’t hurt to ask.
