Bell Services Luggage transfer: how does it work?

There is no fee for resort to resort luggage transfer. Take your bags to Bell Services and tell them what resort to send the bags to. They'll arrive at that resort within several hours. You go to Bell Services (or call) at the new resort to collect your bags.

Best resort for that Christmas feeling?

All of the Disney resorts are decorated at Christmas, and what I love about that is there are so many different styles of Christmas decor to choose from. Tropical Christmas? Polynesian. Victorian Christmas? Grand Floridian. Northwest forest Christmas? Wilderness Lodge. Do you want the resort...

    Remember the OLD Poly lobby

Cool to know the OP was right and there were birds after all. I wish I had been able to stay there when they had the old lobby with the waterfall.

    Delta family boarding?

I said no one should be rude, but that being polite does not help in the way you suggested it might to the OP, if you have no status. In my experience the only thing that helps at airports is status. They certainly might shut down the request/entitled demand of a rude status passenger, but a...

    Remember the OLD Poly lobby

I could imagine a random bird flying in, but I think regularly having birds in the lobby would be a huge housekeeping headache for them with all the mess, plus the issue of guests getting surprises in their hair. Maybe your memory combined the old Poly lobby with the Enchanted Tiki Birds?

    Delta family boarding?

Meh. I suspect that your frequent flier status with the airline goes a lot further than your manners. There is no excuse for being pushy or rude, but I have had multiple airport experiences of being perfectly polite, unassuming, smiling, and yet still have had a request such as this very bluntly...

    Delta family boarding?

Correct. Either no space anywhere close to your seat, or no space at all, so that your bag would have to be gate checked. Either of those scenarios could delay you upon leaving the plane, and gate checked bags could potentially be lost just like any other checked bags. You do not have to pay for...

    Water parks and Animal Kingdom

I don't believe Disney buses have ever taken guests from Animal Kingdom to Typhoon Lagoon. In my experience, the bus from Animal Kingdom went to Blizzard Beach, and the bus from Disney Springs went to Typhoon Lagoon. The two water parks are not close to each other. This might not be necessary...

    No availability in December

One way to check for availability is to try shorter stays within your dates for the resort you want. Sometimes the separate shorter stays are available & would add up to the desired longer stay, but the online system won't let you book it. Calling Disney reservations on the phone can help, as...

Is a fall discount still likely?

This. Some people would much rather avoid the crazy crowds for their whole trip than to possibly be among the first to sample one new ride. I don't know how many people would reschedule their entire vacation around the release of one ride. Locals who are major Star Wars fans, sure, but I...

Thinking of booking GF Club. Main Building or Outer Building?

The outer building will be quieter if you're going during the Christmas season when everyone wants to visit the Grand Floridian to see its gingerbread house. It will also be less expensive. But the main building does have the advantage of not requiring you to walk outside after arriving at the...

    Future attractions on ships.

Exactly. They wouldn't offer a premium theme park-type attraction like FOP unless they knew a way to ensure that all 4,000-ish passengers on every cruise could be scheduled to do it. Because if all of the passengers coudn't get a turn, Guest Services and Twitter would bear the brunt... Have you...

Towncar service recommendations? Experiences? 4 adults 2 kids

We had a good experience with Mears when going between WDW & Aquatica in Orlando. I don't know if they go to the port, but it seems likely.

    Tiny adult pools---whyyyyyy?

I agree with PPs that it really depends what cruise you're on, which type of pool is most crowded. If you cruise when most schools are in session, particularly on longer itineraries, then you're more likely to see the scenario in the picture above at the adult pool. We always sail during school...

    Tiny adult pools---whyyyyyy?

I agree that DCL's pool offerings are inadequate (though on all the cruises I've been on the family pools were the crowded ones). They make great pools a priority at Disney resorts, but not on DCL. Other lines do often have better pools, despite the limits of being on a ship. I hope the new...

    Packing for land and sea

There are guest laundry rooms at the Disney World resorts and onboard the Disney ships. Pack mostly clothes that don't need to be dry cleaned, and wash them as needed. It really doesn't take up that much time (DCL even has an alert system to tell you when your stuff is done), and is easier than...

Price Increase on Palo and Remy

Dinner is different from the MDR offerings. To be specific, you can't get their dessert souffle (dinner only) anywhere but Palo. The breads are different, as are the appetizers and main courses- I don't remember the details of each item offered, but I do recall from my multiple visits that they...

    Palo dinner or Remy dessert?

I vote for Palo dinner. Much more romantic than a pirate night MDR dinner. And Palo's dessert souffle is delicious.

    Unable to book/add room?

I use Safari and got that message a few days ago. I waited a few minutes, reloaded the page & tried again, and it worked. Have since made bookings without that reoccurring.

    Help choosing a resort

One con is that you won't get daily housekeeping. Another is that these reservations are nonrefundable. Another is that someone else is technically in control of your reservation, but if you rent via a reputable agency, there is very little chance of having any problems. People do it all the...
