We ordered braunschweiger, and they wanted to substitute in bratwurst. I guess they’re both meat, that’s pretty much the end of it. I always order whole milk, and they tried to give us 2% - gross!

Maybe. There was the news today that Sanaa is now offering take-away through the mobile app. So, perhaps other restaurants will start this too. Milkshakes seem like a good mobile order item. It doesn't hurt to ask at the podium.
