New Menu Items Coming To Mama Melrose's @ DHS

just watched the Dis Unlimited review. Wow, they were not impressed at all. The lack of bread service seems cheap. Will wait to read more reviews, but based on their report on multiple apps, main course and desserts, no reason to go back unless others have a much better experience.

    Monsieur Paul meat course recommendations?

Looking forward to dining there this fall. Loved it before it closed and doesn't look like it lost anything with the change to Prix-Fixe.

    Flying Fish first time

We will go back to the room and change, but not formal . Often Khakis and a polo shirt. Most will be between that and shorts and t-shirts. They have a dress code, but didn't seem to be followed (similar to many other signature restaurants).

    Which reservation for California Grill?

The staff are very good about pacing the meal around fireworks. I would go with the 6:45. Agree most tables do not have a view. The better viewing is on the balcony. I prefer the one to the left of the restaurant, further from the park. While the angle is still wrong, its much better than...

    Shooting Arcade to close?

I wouldn't mind a DVC lounge somewhere in MK. However, the shooting arcade doesn't seem like it would be enough space for a lounge, unless its really small.

    Mary Poppins?

We dined at Citricos last fall and it was a great meal. If I didn't know it was MP themed, not sure I would have noticed. Very subtle.

Citricos or Narcoossees for a date night?

Both are very good. If you are looking for more upscale, then Citricos. Narcoossee's will be more casual.

Nice Date Night, not buffet or fixed price?

Depends on your budget. Our favorites in no order: Flying Fish, Il Mulino, Jiko, California Grill, Toppolinos, Toledo, Jaleo, Citricos, Blue zoo, Tiffins, Very expensive Monsier Paul, Takumi -Tei (one of the best meals we have had at WDW, very expensive and 3 hours).

Topolino’s Drink From Bar to Watch Epcot Fireworks From Deck

If you are not dining there, not sure if they will let you as the balcony is very small for viewing. We have dined there several times and watched the show. It's not the best view, but still very nice and in the last few years they do pipe in the music.

Has Anyone Seen the New Acrobatic Show 'Forces of Nature' at EPCOT?

Have seen some short videos online. It looks fun. Reminds me somewhat of that acrobats that used to be in China.

New Menu Items Coming To Mama Melrose's @ DHS

Has been years since we dined there, pre Co-Vid. But a new menu, if it's different enough could be worth trying. Never thought their food was bad, but not special either.

    Recent experiences at Jiko?

We were there in October and it was as good as ever. have not sat at the bar there, but have at other restaurants and it's always fun.

For those who take yearly trips..how many park days?

We have cut back to 1 week a year and do 7 days in the parks. We will rope drop, but then often either leave the park earlier than closing time or go back to the resort fora while in the afternoon.

    Pecos Bill toppings bar

We enjoy Pecos Bill for quick service at MK. No doubt, the toppings bar was the best part! Hope it comes back. The little sample of toppings they give you now, is not close to the bar.

Does your stomach drop on Guardians of the Galaxy?

It is fast and smooth. No big drops. I've never had any motion sickness riding it, but I can see where some could with the cars turning. However, it seemed to me that the turns fit the motion well rather than going in the opposite direction (like a double ferris wheel, etc). It also doesn't...

    Jaleo: An Appreciation

We did the Chef Tasting with wine pairings and was one of the best meals we have had at WDW. Was to be 10 courses, but ended up more than that. Spent 2 1/2 hours and loved every minute. Second time we have dined there. It can be loud and noisy, if that matters to people.

Best restaurant NOT in a park for 7 yo boys’ and 3 yo girl’s birthday?

Agree with Chef Mickey or Storybook Dining. T-Rex or Rainforest if they haven't done those before.

    Citizens Of Hollywood

Was hoping they would return, but its been too long since Covid, that I don't expect to see them return. Always loved their improv shows. The Jedi training show was really good. Not sure why that hasn't returned. Seems like a great activity to have in Galaxies Edge.

    Poll: Which Animal Kingdom Show?

As others have pointed out, Nemo today is not what it used to be. Still enjoyable, and a great show if its really hot outside. The bird show is a bird show. If you've seen one, they rarely have huge differences. However, given the ages of your kids, I voted for the bird show as I think they...

Best time to take young kids out of school?

We generally did early December when our kids were young. The parks are decorated really nicely that time of year and the weather is good. For us, early May is about the end of the School year. I would do Spring Break time, only if there were no other options, super crowded. March to early...
