Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend 2022 (Nov. 3-6, 2022)

We've run two Wine and Dine halfs [2018 and 2022] and I kind of liked the new course. Running through the parks early rather than later made the first 6 miles fly by. Start/Finish in same location worked for me too. I probably won't run a third - it was just too hot and humid for me, 5 am is...

Has anyone had success booking dining? I mean......for the love of churros!

First timers to Disneyland. Will be there next week and we plan on walking over to Downtown Disney to grab dinner on the first night. I tried to make ressies at Tortilla Jo's but no go. Should we expect a Disney Springs kind of atmosphere? Where we meander around and grab a bite here or...

Lots of reasons to not visit DW right now....

I'll second (or third) this sentiment. We go to FL twice a year. But instead of our usual Fall trip to WDW/UO we headed out West to hike in CO. We enjoyed it very much and only had to wear masks in town and on the more crowded paths. And hiking is relatively free vs the $$$ for daily park...

Are people not fans of the Tim Tracker?

I enjoy the Trackers. I'm not sad for their success nor for the algorithm that first popped them up on my youtube feed. They seem genuine to me but I'm just looking for ideas on what might be fun to do or eat on my next vacation. If I knew them well enough to call them by their first...

    Disney Springs Reopening Updates

I just watched it. Genuine and informative as usual but nothing that made me laugh out loud. Wait, there was one point where he's walking on the wrong side of a narrow bridge while describing the purpose of the arrows. He admonishes himself when he realizes his mistake. I did chuckle at...

Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

Pyotr I'm with woody337 on masks. But I amend the opinion to "The mask would really hinder my trip.". So much so that we're just not going to travel to Orlando until we can do it free of concern of the Covid. If I need to wear a mask then I'll sit out until I do not. But everyone is in...

Shocking scenes in Orlando where half-mile line of cars wait for food bank after theme parks' shutdown

We're fortunate enough to remain on the job for now. For the past two weeks I've donated $$ to our local food bank. Easy to do online. I'm going to continue to do so until this mess is over. If you want to help in the Covid fight but don't know exactly what to do, then Google your...

    Carvana?

We purchased from Carvana for the first time in July 2019. I absolutely loved it from end to end. Quality was spot on and if you don't like it you can return it within 7 days and pick a different vehicle. Super easy. They dropped it off in my driveway. No haggling, no painful trips to...

Hagrid's Coaster Queue Updates / Questions / Reviews

This past weekend the CM standing watch at the entrance line nexus told us they were shutting down at 3 pm. We didn't ask if he meant the line shut down or the ride itself. The park closed at 8 pm I believe on that particular day.

Hagrid's Coaster Queue Updates / Questions / Reviews

Ha! Definitely thread worthy christophfam. No offense was intended to those who prefer the sidecar : ) Clearly my 'Way, way better' comment is a little over the top. Also, we split our party up to all ride the bike. I'd have to weigh the possible shorter single rider wait time vs...

Hagrid's Coaster Queue Updates / Questions / Reviews

We just returned from a long weekend and rope-dropped on Sunday 10/27 and Monday 10/28 and had two very different waits: We arrived at the gate area at 8:31 am on Sunday, headed to the leftmost 'line' and found ourselves backed up to around the ticket purchase booth. They opened the gates...

Guest experiences with daily room checks

Last week we stayed for three nights at All Star Movies (in a renovated room - nice!). We did not opt out of housekeeping and I did not notice where opting out might have been an option as we checked in online and never approached the front desk. Day one we were out all day and the room was...

    Official Wine & Dine 2018

Hi, new Disney runners here. A few questions about the park+transportation to start+making way to corral. We're staying offsite at Universal so will be coming in hot via rental car. We don't stretch or warm up and plan on sleeping/arriving as late as possible. If our proofs are accepted...

The **New** Swan and Dolphin Resort thread ~ April 2012 ~ Please read post #1

Sure thing. Our UCT tickets were purchased as non-exp 10 day back in 2010. When I tried to link them in MDE I followed through the website instructions and ended up at a dead end that prompted me to visit any guest services window to link the tickets. Instead of waiting until I get down...

The **New** Swan and Dolphin Resort thread ~ April 2012 ~ Please read post #1

The sequence I used was: 1. Added my family in MDE under Account-->My Family and Friends. I did this weeks ago before linking in my Swan reservation. I tried to link in my non-exp 3rd party tickets at this point but could not. 2. Found the (t)rumor on the DIS that Swan guest were elig...

The **New** Swan and Dolphin Resort thread ~ April 2012 ~ Please read post #1

Traveling next week and staying at the Swan. Was able to link my reservation in the MDE and also was able to link in our 3rd Party (Undercover Tourist) tickets from 2010. That took about 45 minutes on the phone with two very helpful ticket agents. The first agent was unaware Swan guests could...

Swore I'd never go to WDW during Spring Break, but now I am. What m I in for?

Question for Spring Break vets: If we hit the Studios at EMH park opening can we hope to ride TSM (once with FP and one standby) and ToT and then bolt over to Epcot (say around 10 am) and still get a FP for Soarin? We won't care about the FP return time. Or am I setting the bar too high?
