Genie+ pricing on 14 day ticket?

Does anyone know the price of adding Genie+ to the 7/14 day uk ticket? We only need 4 or 5 park days so it’s marginal between the uk and us ticket prices, but I’m thinking we should add genie given the short stay. Thanks in advance

Do you still get 1 month grace on DVC dues?

Hi, I've always paid a couple of days late as my forex-fee-free credit card statement runs on the 17th/18th of the month. Went on to the site to pay today and there was a message in red saying the fees were past due & late charges would be levied. Historically it was always the case that they...

Need a hotel recommendation, between Tampa and WDW

Thanks for that. We don't need to be all the way over to WDW as we'll be awake early anyway given the time difference and I'm just aware how much lower prices are outside of "the bubble", so at the moment I'm thinking we stop near Lakeland and drive the extra 15 mins - will be a Sunday morning...

Need a hotel recommendation, between Tampa and WDW

OK, so we're flying into Tampa next summer as it was meaningfully cheaper than Orlando & have had far better experiences with customs & immigration on the West coast, too. The plan is to hire a car on arrival and head towards WDW, but stop en route. What I'm looking for is the following check...

Is Disney too expensive for us Brits?

OK, getting on my moral high horse here as this is utterly misleading and I really hope no one reads the post and says "oh wow, I do this then I get as good as free holidays at disney" Not being rude but you do realise you can use points across different resorts, don't you? Remember you're on...

Is Disney too expensive for us Brits?

The site won't let me post a link to you I'm afriad. It's a page called wanderingindisney dot com. In the search box top right type "the value of" and it should be the first item returned, from October 19th. Now obviously things change but it offered me some reassurance that I didn't need to...

Is Disney too expensive for us Brits?

It's showing me £6.99 a day, but you have to buy for every day of the pass. So going for 9 days, that'll be 14 x £6.99, thanks. That's a bit of a kick. So that works out at a $130 uplift per person. Being sort of frugal you might then pay up for 2 x LLs each and given the variable pricing you...

Any pattern for when people cancel bookings?

Hi I've got a booking coming up in April. Obviously a busy time at the parks but am looking to see if we can make a small adjustment to our booking. Problem is that so far, there's no availability. Is there a "rule of thumb" as to when availability may open up? Am thinking maybe around the 30...

Has anyone found sensible car hire prices yet?

Just coming back to this. The site I use is kayak as it searches across a wide range of providers and consolidators. I now see that they have an outfit called VIP cars pointing to rental from Seven Auto (no, never heard of them either) which is near but not at the airport. A full size is £559...

Has anyone found sensible car hire prices yet?

Fair point. As a DVC owner I have a habit of forgetting that....

Has anyone found sensible car hire prices yet?

Qeeq.com (a consolidator like holiday autos) was quoting £40 a day, pay on collection for an Astra sized car, collecting from Dollar or Thrifty at West Irlo which is pretty close to Animal Kingdom. That was for a 1 week rental in April.

Garden Grocer or rely on Speedway?

Thanks all - I'm UK based to add another layer of complexity, but have downloaded the Publix/Instacart app and that looks a bit more sensible in terms of some of the prices.

Garden Grocer or rely on Speedway?

Will WalMart leave at bell services, or do I need to be there? thanks

Garden Grocer or rely on Speedway?

@CarolynFH - I guess the prices on that pre-order service dvc offer will reflect the screen door prices, just to give me an idea?

Garden Grocer or rely on Speedway?

I was looking at placing a garden grocer order for some essentials - cereal, some snacks, sun cream, drinks etc. Not really looking to cook full meals in the villa (boardwalk). The GG prices seem very high to the extent I’m thinking we’ll be better off relying on a trip to speedway and picking...

    Where to Start - Overwhelmed

There's another thread running at the moment along the lines of DisneyWorld just being too expensive for Brits. The most important thing to remember is that the vast majority of visitors will only go for a few days. This idea of spending 2 or 3 weeks there is a very niche thing, and whilst you...

Is Disney too expensive for us Brits?

Point that’s missing here is most people - ie US visitors - go to Disney for 3 or 4 days so can stomach the top end prices. 14 or 21 is off the scale. We have a weak currency now and the US is seeing higher inflation. Add that to the pent up demand and prices will rise.

    DVC vs UK Offers

Whilst yes to an extent, buying 6 weeks somewhere is a *huge* commitment, especially for someone travelling from the UK. DVC gives you the flexibility to travel every 2-3 years without needing to sell points and unlike other timeshares the resale price seems to rise, rather than the place...

    DVC vs UK Offers

We were paying top price when renting DVC Villas for cash, so I'm not so sure. They certainly weren't available at the 40% discounts we saw for deluxe resort rooms without free dining. With the benefit of hindsight, we have been lucky on the significant appreciation of the points and the...
