“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them."

Well, my plans changed once again! Disney released their Free dining deal and I was able to get POP for the week of June 28-July 3rd. I had to get park hoppers so it really did not save me much. But I figure the Ratatouille ride should be open then then maybe missing it by a few days if I in early June. I also decided that I might need to have the park hopper anyway this trip just to give us a better chance of getting to ride the new Rise of the Resistance ride in Hollywood Studios. From what I have been reading about everyone trying to get to ride it, many could not one day but returned a second day and snagged a spot. If I did not have park hoppers, we would be limited to one day at Hollywood Studios. So, since I was already thinking about adding park hoppers to our tickets this year, the deal will save me on money I had planned to spend out of pocket for meals.

As I am planning this trip, it gives me the chance to reminisce about our previous trips. Excuse me a moment while I look back. Below is my favorite photo of my two kids from their first visit to WDW. Haley was two and a half and Jacob was 8 in May 2005. I just wish Minnie's house was still at MK so I could replicate the same photo 15 years later!

And here is a photo of Haley with her first experience with Mickey. She was a bit reluctant and worried he was going to take her Teletubbies she was holding. He was just trying to engage her and asked to see them.

She is adorable

Joining in...all the changes remind me of my trip...it’s a work in progress...my DH is on the fence about coming with us. So if he doesn’t. ...more changes. Ugh. Can’t wait to hear rest of plans...we always get the park hopper now. For us with the kids it makes sense. If we need to go back to room with the “littles” we can go back to a favorite ride or park. And not just limited. It is more especially buying 6 passes. But worth it in end.. continued good luck on your planning..

Thanks for tagging along on my trip planning sheri18!
I agree with you having the park hoppers this trip will give us the ability to go with the flow a bit and change our plans as needed since we will not be tied to just one park a day. I think that will be key this year since we are going with my brother's family and we will be trying to ride the new Star Wars ride and hopefully the Ratoutoille ride too!

I have been reading a lot of reviews and looking at food porn. But that just leads to me to continually be changing my dining plans. We will have the quick service free dining plan and right now, I think I will leave it at that and not upgrade to TS plan since I will be going with my kids and niece who are all teens and more interested in the rides than seeing characters or having a nice sit down meal. Plus two are pretty picky eaters.

One ADR that I recently made that I did not know of is the Restaurantosaurus Burgers & Sundaes at Animal Kingdom. It is a quick service credit and has build your own sundaes. I, especially like the fact that we will not have to hunt for a table but will have one reserved for us! Burgers and Ice Cream Sundaes are perfect for my teenagers!

I also made reservations for BOG breakfast on our last day at MK. We are usually not big breakfast people but it will be our last day at Disney and I want to make the most of it. It will allow us to get into the park early and is another quick service credit! I have only had lunch here before.

Well, my plans have changed once again. My brother and his family are postponing their trip, so it is back to just the kids and I. I was able to modify my dining reservations from eight people to four people and got the same times and days. I dropped the Chef Mickey dinner since I planned that one for my nephews. The kids and I will be primarily doing all counter service meals. I did keep our Ohana reservation since my kids loved it the first time we went. It was their one request for dining repeats for our 2014 trip but we weren't able to go due to my son's band schedule. So, I went ahead and scheduled it for this trip. I am still thinking about a lunch or dinner at Whispering Canyon just because I know my son would really get a kick out of it. I just not sure if I want to commit to it since our time at WDW is limited and Fort Wilderness is out of the way just for dinner or lunch. But we might end up there.

This trip is one big disappointment and I haven't even set foot into WDW yet. Since I last posted Covid-19 has hit the world hard and United States too. WDW closed down in March and is still closed and not sure when it will reopen. If it does reopen for the summer, there will be lots of changes to what rides/experiences will be available and what ones will not. Plus the fact, that it will be hard to social distance and avoid germs from the crowds who touch every surface there is, I will be cancelling or postponing this trip once again. So sad. I haven't cancelled yet because I am waiting to see if Disney will offer people with reservations for June a deal to rebook for later. That is what has happened with those that were suppose to go in March and April. I have a really good deal right now with the free dining package with park hopper tickets and five nights at POP for three adults for a total of $2,300.34. I will not be able to get such a good deal if I cancel now and reschedule on my own. Also my Fastpass window opened yesterday and I wanted to at least get a feel for how to select the fastpasses with this new system (at least new to me since the last time I was there it was 2014 and the fastpasses worked differently).

My fastpass window opened yesterday morning for June 28-July 2 and I was up and on the site right when it opened. But I had trouble getting anything for a party of three and I started with the last day of my trip and worked up to the first day. This was all within the first five minutes that FP options opened.

AK - No availability for FOP on any day, any time
HS - No availability for MMRR, Slinky Dog, Millenium
MK - No availability for Seven Dwarfs or Big Thunder Mountain (I did get Peter Pan for 6:05 pm)

Well, to quote Kenny Rogers and The Gambler,

“You’ve got to know when to hold ’em

Know when to fold ’em

Know when to walk away

And know when to run…”

With Disney starting to cancel reservations for June, I am now setting my sights on visiting the world in June 2021. It is hard to let the dream go for now, especially after I was so close to it happening after six long years and fastpasses in hand. But it is not to be this summer. Even if they did open in late June, early July, I don't want to go and have a modified experience with the possibility of not all the parks being open, no fireworks, limited ride experiences, lack of food options and the need to wear masks at all times in the parks and around the resort. Plus there is a good possibility that the resort pool would not be open either.

Instead of focusing on the negative, I have started a new thread to share ideas and plans for going in June 2021 instead.
