We are a family of 5 and will be taking the boys to Disney for there 1st time in April, they are SO EXCITED!! Has anyone found a good deal on the 7 day hopper passes buy one get second half price? I have called a few travel places and they are around $459.cad/adult,389./child, second half off. I have a couple travel agents checking prices but I thought someone may have found a better deal. Also does anyone know if the passes for Universal and Seaworld at par have an expiry date.

ALSO we have 3 children two 7yr twin boys and 11yr son, so we have to buy an adult hopper pass for our oldest, I was wondering if another family of 5 would like to split the cost of the last ticket so instead of the ticket costing $459 we could take advantage of the second half off and each have a ticket for $344.25(savings of $115.)for our 3rd child. Just an idea, can this be done?

Thanks for everyone's help, this board is great.

The hoppers are going to be pretty much the same price anywhere you look, give or take a buck or two either way.

The 3 day Universal/IoA at par does NOT have an expiry date. Some people may tell you it does. But I was told at the Universal ticket gates that the expiry date is only for City Walk (7 days from the first use).

Here's the scoop on the Seaworld and Busch Gardens at par tickets: "From Nov. 1, 2000 to April 30, 2001, the “at par” program will offer Canadian residents fixed “at par” admission prices to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and SeaWorld Orlando based on the current exchange rate at the time of purchase. Proof of Canadian residency is required to purchase “at par” tickets. The Canadian Resident Salute is applicable to both single-day and multi-day tickets."

Hope that helps you out.

Hi neighbour!
I am from the other side of the 401 at Newbury!
We are heading to Orlando in a few weeks. I just ordered our passes from a travel agent in Byron.
3 day Universal pass - $105 CAD Adult
$ 85 CAD Child
No expiry - unlimited admission to both parks.
1 day SeaWorld/Busch Garden Pass - $49 CAD Adult
$39 CAD Child
Good for a total of 14 days from 1st day of use - so one could go every day for a while. I really don't know how good SeaWorld is. I know that I could spend everyday at DisneyWorld!!! We already have 3 days remaining on last years pass to use up. Good luck in your bargain hunting!

Hi, We eturned a week or so ago from 10 days at Disney . We bought 7 day passes(one at full price second at half). We paid658.50 dollars can. We got them fromRegent Holidays in Mississauga thru our travel agent . Hope that helps. Have a great time. Eleanor

Hi twinshockeymom!

I'm just recently back from WDW. We needed 3 adult park hoppers and thus ran into exactly the same problem as you with an odd number of tickets.

I might have some good news for you though! We ended up called the Sears travel agent. They said that since they were selling so many tickets right then that they were just selling them for 25% off each instead of one full price, the next one half (it works out to the same discount overall, but you can get exactly how many you need). I'm not sure if all Sears locations sell them this way, and it might depend on how many they're selling, but it's worth a try to call! Hope it works out for you as well as it did for us. Oh yeah, the only other thing is that they it took about a week to get the tickets since they had to be ordered. Hope this all helped!

Good luck, let us know how you make out with buying the tickets, and most importantly have a great trip! :)

I'm going in July, so the 1/2 off tickets are not good for that time period. So far the best deal I can find is Sears $439/adult 7 day hopper plus includes character breakfast. I have my 3 day/2 park (Universal/Islands of Adventure) voucher in front of me - purchased from Marlin Travel for $109./adult (on par) but my voucher says "must be used by Dec.31/01. For Seaworld/Busch Gardens I couldn't find the $49. deal as mentioned above for one day each at each park. I found 14 consecutive days at both parks SeaWorld/Busch Gardens for $99./adult (on par)from Sears Travel (through World of Vacations). I think I've done fairly well, except for WDW. AMA still does not have their summer prices for WDW or SeaWorld/Busch Gardens. They tell me it will be soon.

I just priced the Cdn 7 day hopper passes (buy 1 get 1 half)and found the best price from Robert Q Travel (Byron office). I paid Cdn $1197 for 2 adult and 2 child passes. This was approx $90 cheaper than CAA and $80 cheaper than Sears -- incl sears $26.75 fee since we didn't buy our air tickets through them.

The passes were:

1 adult pays $439.00 Second adult pays $219.50
1 Child pays $359.00 Second child pays $179.50

I received World of Vacation vouchers. We have to turn them in at the ticket counter and show them photo id.

Just back! The voucher for Universal Studios must be exchanged for tickets, at their gate, before Dec.31,01. The tickets themselves have no expiry date. We only used up two of the "3 day/2 parks" passes and we saved the third for our next trip. I will try to clarify SonyaB,s info re Sea World. The passes that she is probably talking about are called "Choice of Adventure" ($49 until the end of Apr. and $69 May01- Dec 31)and you choose Sea World or Busch Gardens. If you want to visit both parks the passes are called "2 park Adventure Passport" which is $99 until April 30th, and $127 May 01 until Dec. 31,01. We got our vouchers through Holiday House. I hope this helps.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

I also found the same deal for the Disney Hoppers as DSX2 found.

I also purchased the at par tickets to Universal(gives us the excuse to go back LOL). Thanks Canada Goose for the information about exchanging the vouchers by December 31, I was not planning on using them this year.

I will be looking for your lime green ribbon DSx2 Apr 22-29. :D

what a coincidence,we are going same time as you. I would have taken you up on that splitting deal, because I also have 3 kids, but what I did was buy one Annual Pass for myself. This gave me a good discount on our rooms, plus 10% off shopping at DD. I bought my 7 day hoppers at Sears, and universal tickets at CAA. I like with these places that you get the actual ticket and not a voucher. We arrive on April 23rd, so I will be on the lookout for lime green ribbons.

Onto the topic of our names we are still in the middle of hockey season, how about yourself. We play in the provincial championship in Mississagua on April 20th, and from there head to Disney. Can't wait

Lots of good info here. I have been searcing for the best prices for WDW, Universal and SeaWorld/Busch Gardens too. Purchased 7 day park hopper for WDW from Sears at $439 Canadian. 3 day/2park for Universal/Islands of Adventure for $109 (at least thats what I was quoted, but my visa was only charged $194.67 for 2 adults-97.33 each). Was originally given a price of $99 for SeaWorld/Busch for 14 consecutive day adventure passport. When I went to purchase them, was told it was only good until April 30. For the summer the price is $127. Since I think I will only do each of these parks 2 days, I think my best bet is AMA - buy one day get the second day free. $48.76 Canadian for SeaWorld, same for Busch Gardens.

Good for you on and your son/daughter's hockey team on the provincials! What division?

Our 3 sons just finished up my oldest is a goalie Atom travel division and his team won the leaque championship lost in first round of OMHA by 1 point, we tied a game when we needed to win and our twins are tykes there team did really well too, they won 2 tournaments and came in 2nd place for 2. Hockey is tons of fun eh.

Any way this is off topic for Disney - Have a wonderful trip and I will be on the lookout for you - go to the topic that you sent looking for me and it will tell you where I am staying.
We leave a week from today YEA!!!! :)

This tournament is for both of my daughters. One is on the Atom BB team, and the other is on the Aton C team. My son played Tyke and his season is over. It was so cute to watch. Sounds like your boys did well also. This trip is going to be a nice slice of heaven after a season of arenas. see you there.

The tounament was actually in Warsaw. Anyway the team did very well there they went for the Championship trophy but came in second. Great trip.

5 days and counting, hope to see you down in Florida

Debbie

Second is excellent. I did not even know that there was a tykes tournament, my son just finished up his season. We still have 9 days to go. Our girls play in missisauga this weekend, so we are hoping to go to Disney with some medals around our neck. See you there.

Hi everyone. Greetings from Victoria. Sorry to switch the subject from hockey tournaments back to Disney...

We're planning to visit WDW, etc. in Nov 2001. Does anyone have any idea as to what sort of ticket discounts have been made in past years for the Nov time frame?

I notice a few people have mentioned getting their tickets through AMA. Who is AMA?

Will appreciate your comments. Thanks.
