A Christmas Wishes Wedding 12~8~14 WP, LSS,UK Terrace DP ~ NOW A TRIP REPORT!

We have switched the reception from American Adventure Parlor to............The Living Seas Salon!:cool1::cool1::cool1: (@ Tiffiny, now these weddings really are the same :) ) We tried for this other location, but unfortunately was booked for a private event, but we are just glad that it is not at the Parlor anymore...beautiful place, but just not the style of their wedding! Of course, my company just recently finished printing the Guidemap/Times Guide Wedding Programs and Fastpass Escort Cards which will now have to be re-done since the seating at the Seas is 6 per table(we had some tables of 8,7,etc). We will now add Blizzard Beach and Typoon Lagoon to the Table Names. Also, we just got notification that the DJ will be DJ Chuck! :upsidedow I've read great things about him on the DISboards.

What was the place that was booked? Just out of curiosity!

Your Welcome! :thumbsup2 No, it does not seem bad at all. Actually I had guessed that the Bridal Bouquet would cost around $300. I was shocked when it came in under :) As far as the Ice Sculptures go... We've decided to change them. They cost $145 individually and we only needed 3(for the 3 guest tables) So we would have to make room elsewhere for the additional sculptures to meet the $750 Minimum(Disney uses an outside vendor for these). So we are in the stages of brainstorming other ideas for centerpieces :)

Where did you find the ideas for the ice sculpture center pieces? Sounds like an interesting idea....would love to get more info.
Great PJ..they are lucky to have you..

It was the GM Lounge at Test Track! My brother is a huge car freak so he would have loved this!

I found the idea when I was browsing on the Disney Event Group website under Winter themes! They were beautiful :) I did post a picture of them on post #22. Not sure if you saw it or not. The info that I got was that they were $145 each with a $750 minimum(so we had to order atleast 6) and their was a $100 delivery fee for them. Thank you! I am used to the wedding chaos so I am glad to help them :)

Oh my gosh! A possible reception at GM Lounge at Test Track? Where did you find out the details of that?

Hello,
Having a Dec 2015 Wishes wedding so am following excitedly! Where did you procure the Disney program guides from? We would love to do something similar!

Thanks so much!

I found most info online just searching for it, but since it was booked, I didn't get much info from our wedding planner(minimums, venue fee, etc).

I agree-- SO FREAKING COOL!!! What a shame it was booked!

I know!!! I never even knew it existed! It would have been amazing! The view alone was stunning :)

Welcome!! I own a wedding planning company and my team made them along with the fast pass escort cards :)

The wedding is approaching quickly and I love what you have done to help it fit their personalities. Following along! :goodvibes

Oh my goodness! How did I just now see this PJ? That DP menu looks AMAZING! Everything looks like it's coming together so beautifully!

To be honest, if I had my TRUE Disney dream wedding, it would have been at Christmastime. But my birthday is December 26, so that would make every important event for me for the entire year happen in December.... so I decided on May. LOL. But now I can live vicariously through this PJ. :)

Yes, the wedding is approaching VERY quickly! Thank you!:) It's been very fun planning!

What a great idea...you are very creative

Thank you! I am hoping that the bride's family understands what they are since the paper fast passes no longer exist and I don't think they ever went to Disney World when they did :lmao:

Welcome! Thank you! My brother was in LOVE with the way those desserts looked :) We are very excited about the wedding in December, but honestly, my brother really wanted a Halloween/Haunted Mansion themed wedding. Unfortunately, all travel arrangements were made so we couldn't push it back until next year.

So we are 2 weeks away from arriving in Disney World!:yay: I cannot believe how fast this time has flown!:goodvibes On the trip front: Everything is ready to go! We finished up the last detail last night and that was setting up transportation to Universal Studios for the day on Wednesday!! On the Wedding front: This weekend most of everyone's goal is to begin packing because this is really our last free weekend before the trip...our family tradition for many many years is the Saturday after Thanksgiving, we all drive up to the Poconos to cut our Christmas Tree down :) We have finalized the wedding programs and picked up a clear brochure holder to put them in(just like the one you would see next to cash register in a store in Disney :thumbsup2) As I had said in my previous post, we had to adjust the seating arrangements since the Living Seas tables only seat 6 per table. We have finalized 3 tables of 4 and 3 tables of 5. I had also mentioned that on top of the 4 original table names( MK, Epcot, AK, DHS) we added Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. I've only been to Blizzard Beach once(not a huge waterpark person, but I did LOVE BB) and didn't go on many rides so I wasn't paying attention to see if fast passes were even available, but I could not find any Fast Passes for those rides to add to the escort cards, so I sort of created my own using the layout of the fast passes I did have and using the image of the sign for the ride...same thing for Typhoon Lagoon...So here are the adjusted Escort Cards :)

With the table arrangements listed above(6 rounds) I've received the room diagram which we absolutely LOVE! :lovestruc

We received our FINAL BEO and Cost and believe it or not...it was actually $131 cheaper than what we had already paid Disney since we no longer needed to upgrade the linens to navy, etc.

In other news, the bride has parted with her dress and it is now on it's way to Carolyn Allen's. I also, picked up my dress on Wednesday from the dress shop(I'm only 5'1" so they always need to chop half of the dress off at the bottom :lmao:)and the lady did a fabulous job on the alterations! And to top it off, my Opera length gloves are being delivered today!

So we are 3 days away from arriving in Disney and 6 days away until the wedding!! OMG I can't believe how fast this has came up :scared: Over the holiday weekend we found out 2 family friends are joining us on vacation so I had to call DFTW yesterday to add them to the guest count. They are thrilled to be able to join us at the wedding :) Also, the bride shipped out her dress yesterday to Carolyn Allen's. She was going to do it sooner, but they advised her to wait until after Thanksgiving so their was no hold up with the dress getting down to them. We also just purchased Memory Maker today so I am curious as to how that works out!! The packing will be starting today after work!! :yay::yay: So many things to do...so little time to go ;)

I hope your sister is enjoying every minute of this time! The wedding is sooo close and it's going to be AMAZING!

Well....the day is finally here! Preparations will begin in 1.5 hours!! Can't wait to see my brothers pictures in front of our living room window!!

Hey Everyone! Well the vacation and wedding are over  So the last thing for me to do is turn this Planning Journal into a trip report! ;) I will be starting from the arrival day, 12/5/2014 :)
