I was told, during some kind of river boat tour if I remember correctly that the scene in Miss Congeniality where she’s dressed the polka outfit, that was filed in the same place.We found a small amphitheater where an acting troupe puts on Shakespeare plays and other performances. I’m glad to see that—as I’ve told you before, no writer spoke to the human condition like William Shakespeare.
I was disappointed with myself on my visit to the Alamo. I wondered around the river walk all day and mosied up to the Alamo just in time to hear them announce 5 minutes before closing. I had time to walk in, say I was there, and leave. I was surprised that it was right in downtown San Antonio. I always pictured a little fort out in the desert. I am glad I stopped for a few minutes because it helped me realize the significance of the Alamo. Being Canadian I hadn’t really understood before.We were able to walk inside the Alamo itself (no photos allowed), see some exhibits that included various artifacts
