AKL room request ASAP help

Hello!
It wouldn't let me write this on the (what I think is) the official AKL board, so I'm reaching out in desperation.
This afternoon, I had the crazy notion to upgrad my trip from a Pop Century room to an AKL standard view room. I arrive in FIVE DAYS! I'm having sort of a mini panic attack as I try to fill out the online requests. (After months of reading everything about Pop Century and being totally set for months and months, I now have just a few days to get acquainted with AKL! This is not really in my comfort zone lol.)
Can someone please help me fill out the best request? My priorities are having 2 queen beds (as opposed to bunks) and having it be quiet (no noise from buses or elevators). Seeing animals from the room and being near the pool are bonuses as well.
Can anyone help me with the best request to make here? I have to fill out the online check in asap.
I'm trying to speed read everything I can about AKL, but since time is of the essence, I figured this was the best way to ask.
Thank you in advance!

I'm looking for this kind of input, also. We check in 9 days. For now, I've just requested close to lobby

We prefer Kudu trail and usually request 3rd floor so we don't have to wait for elevators.
Just to clarify, is the 3rd floor on the ground floor (I've stayed in some hotels where the first floor is the basement), or is it just that the walk down the stairs is more doable from the 3rd floor?

3rd floor is the same floor as the lobby so no stairs or evelvators needed to come/go. You can walk or elevator down to the dining and pool areas if that makes sense

If you haven't done it yet - (a) don't bother with online check-in-requests, (b) Call 407-W-DISNEY and tell them what you want. But do it today, because I think they start assigning rooms at the 5 day mark.

Since you booked standard view, that could be parking lot, not pool or animals. There were some rooms which were categorized as savanna but got switched to standard because you could see animals but not very well. I'll see if I can find more info; I deleted bookmarks after my trip.

Edit:
This has a map but doesn't tell you which are standard view: http://willcad.org/disney_maps.shtml#epcot

People say that the room views on this are not accurate but it might help you figure out which rooms are standard view: https://touringplans.com/hotel_maps/disneys-animal-kingdom-lodge

Also: were you accidentally looking at an old thread re Animal Kingdom? I think this is the newest one: https://www.disboards.com/threads/jambo-the-newest-akl-information-thread.3567178/page-137

You are a lifesaver!

I am calling now- requesting queen beds in Zebra trail with view of animals if possible.

Thank you!

Zebra trail is very convenient to the Mara (Quick service restaurant)and the pool - it’s on the same side of the resort. There are very few partial savanna view standard rooms on Zebra trail. Kudu trail involves a lot more walking but also has more partial savanna view standard rooms. If you don’t get partial savanna view, you can spend time watching the animals from the Arusha rock overlook which is out in back of the lobby and the Uzima savanna overlook which is out by the pool (go beyond the pool to the left.) When I was there in Dec. the 2 new baby giraffes and their moms were often hanging out by the Uzima overlook. Check the activity schedule as there are many things like culinary tours, bead collecting for kids, etc. scheduled. It’s a lovely resort, enjoy :)
