Well, it's getting to the 11 month window where I need to call and make my reservations. I'm wondering what time they open to start calling and who exactly is it that I need to call? Not to sound like a moron but this is our first trip home!  Is it Member Services or something like that? Do I talk to our guide? Any info would be GREAT!!! Thanks in advance!

Call this number... 1-800-********
Then option 3
Then option 3
A Disney Member Services member will pick up and ask for you member ID number so make sure you have it handy. They will ask your last 4 social security numbers, mother's maiden name (sometimes), confirm address and telephone number, and sometimes some other things too. Tell them the check-in date, check-out date, type of room, resort location and he/she will check availability. If there is availability then you just need to provide the names of who is staying in the room and ages of children (if any). If you have any requests like certain buildings, views, smoking/non, handi-capped, etc...then this is the time to tell them. Your written confirmation will arrive within 7-10 business days. That's basically it. Just FYI on the back of the membership card is the phone number to call. Oh...MS is open Monday thru Friday 9-5 with extended hours on Thursday till 7.

Hope this helped.

Sorry, I guess we aren't allowed to tell you MS phone number.

Maybe that worked.

DIS policy prohibits posting of the toll free number for MS.

You will find it in your Vacation Planner, in the member emails and on your blue membership card.

You will also find it on the login page of the Members' Website - www.dvcmember.com (You don't need a login ID or password to look at the login page).

You can also call the DVC sales number or your guide. I'm sure they will be happy to give it to you.

You could also google DVC member services 800 and find it that way.

Good luck with your first reservation - it's really quite an easy process and you'll soon be comfortable with it.

Best wishes -

Its a pretty easy process - just like booking a hotel room. The one gotcha - make sure you keep any banked and borrowed points straight. Since this is your first reservation, you probably aren't combining several use years. If you are, I always make the reservation this way.

I want a one bedroom at Boardwalk checking in on DATE and checking out on DATE. Thats X room nights for XXX points. That will be XX banked points XXX current points and XX points I will need to borrow.

They will give you numbers for all banking and borrowing transactions. Log them.

Thanks! I got out my membership card and am ready to call tomorrow!!! :cheer2:  :cheer2:

It's tomorrow! Let us know how it went, LOL!

Best wishe s-

I did as many have said before, I called and checked on availability to see if I needed to do the day by day reservations. She checked and said there were plenty available and I could wait another week and do the whole thing in one shot. So, that's what I'm going to do. I know it's not a busy time of year so we should be okay. I'll worry for the whole week but I'll get over it! I'm just so excited to be going back to Disney next year!!!! I can't wait to know it's all booked and ready to go! (then I can start praying that the hurricanes will stay FAR FAR away next year - we were there for Jeanne last year!)

Thanks again for the advice and attempts at giving me the phone number!
