We have carefully planned out our 1st and 2nd choice nights for Palo based on any rotation we receive. I though the show at Animator's was always on your first night dining there. I read in a post that this may not be the case. Does anyone have any further info. Thanks!!

The animators lightshow is on the regular menu night for animators not on a special menu night. I will say that after being in there three times to us it is not that big of a deal.. Don't get me wrong it is kinda cool how the pictures start to light up and stuff and at the end the wait staff changes their vests from black and white to color but it was not what I had expected. Somehow I had thought that the food choices became more colorfull as the evening went on and that the plates for kids looked like palets.. it is neat but I would not give a second thought on missing it if that was a good night for palo in the large scheme of things..

Ditto - the first time you see the show at Animator's, it's special. After that, well, you know what's coming. I'd hit Palo that second night - especially at sunset!! Nice bottle of wine (if you indulge), your sweetie beside you, ahhhhhhhh (then the beeper for the Kid's club goes off!!!!!!)

Thank you all for your help! Now can you come and help me shovel my driveway! It has been a long winter!!!

When we sailed on the Maiden Voyage of the Magic back on 7/30/98 they did have plates that looked like palates.....they had little "wells" along the edge and the centerpiece of the table was a jar full of paintbrushes.

The dessert they brought out was rather a bland looking blob and you were supposed to decorate it with the different colored items in the wells.

The intention was good, but the dessert looked very unappealing. They have since auctioned off the plates and brushes at the onboard auction.

Well, I think Animators Palate is pretty, but must admit to thinking the lightshow was only so-so. Cute...but not spectacular.

They do still have some sort of Palate type dessert plates - I got one for my Cheesecake in February :)

Those plates look like a newer design.....I believe the old ones had more wells but I could be mistaken!!

They are different from the original plates. I saw an original being sold in the auction though.
