We just returned from 8/12-8/15 in one bedroom 3012. Checked in at 2:30pm on sunday and room was ready. Great CM at check-in! We love the area for building 29 and 30 is all the way at the end of resort, but a short walk to pool, great view of tuesday fireworks and great parking. Everything was great in the unit-we were missing a dish towel but got one 15 minutes after we called. We arrived to great weather, high 80's but very comfortable with less humidity than previous week which had heat index of over 100! All three days were beautiful..we even enjoyed sitting on the porch in morning and throughout the day/night. Had no problem with getting chairs at the pools and we brought our own for the beach. Water at the beach was comfortable, but we did hear 2 people getting stung by jellyfish, but we had no problem. Very relaxing time over the 3 days. We ate at KIngfisher(with dvc discount and it was very good; tried Vassili's in Coligny area and it was very good mediterrenean, seafood, pasta, steak. Made breakfast each morning and got great bagels(near the resort across from Hilton Head Diner), decided to get take our delivered on Tuesday to enjoy resort and wait for fireworks..Wild wing take-out was fine with appetizers and wings-nothing extraordinary. Had great view of fireworks. Its so nice not having to hassle with a car as all the masses left Shelter Cove! We did not do the Star-Spangled BBQ but have done it in the past. We did watch some of the games and did swim later. Overall, great CM(really-everyone we encountered was friendly, enthusiastic and helpful). Did some dvc shopping at the merchantile and they even had bathing suit on sale! We were really worried about the hot humid stuff killing us in August, but it worked out perfectly! We just love this relaxing vacation-we read lots of books and hit the beach and pools! Now for xmas at OKW!
