Are there any MK resorts where you can actually walk to MK?

I have heard rumors that the Poly & CR are close enough to walk but you can't due to water and greenery. Is that true? Do any of the MK resorts have walking paths to MK? Has anyone here done it? Is is far or complicated? Thanks!

The Contemperary Resort is close, a easy walk, about 5 min. and is a great resort with several good restaurants, increadible views from the tower rooms and the monorail goes right thru it. If you could'nt tell its one of my faves. maddy

I have heard that you can walk from the Poly, and there are enough walking paths that that appears to be right. We found it much easier to walk down to the dock, by the main buidling and just take the boat across. It drops you off right in front of the gate of MK. The kids loved this.

We have walked from the contemporary and it only took 4-5 minutes.

The walk to MK from CR is faster than the monorail to MK from CR!

Actually, I believe you can't walk from the Poly or Grand Floridian to MK. There is a waterway to a dock where they park the boats used for the Electrical Water Pagent in between the GF and MK. There was no bridge over it (at least last time I saw it in May!), so it would be impossible to walk.

I think I read someday they will finish the walkway, but not as of now. I do know you can walk to the TTC from the Poly.

We often walked from CR. We read the bricks as we walked to look for people from Texas. It made the time go by fast!

The walkway from CR to MK is actually a very nice area. It is definitely faster than the monorail - especially in the evening when the park is closing.

The only resort to actually have a completed walkway to the MK is the Contemporary.

You can tell, when you ride the monorail that they had been a planned walkway from the GF to the MK, but it was never finished. It is lighted, but it barricaded about half way between the MK and the Gf. I don't know why.

If anyone knows why the walkway between the GF and the MK was never completed, I would be really interested to know!
