Canadian Buffoon's DISmeet vacation - 09/14 - Bowled Over

Yes, I am now on my last day of work before days off tomorrow. Day 21/21, cannot wait.

But it sure won't hurt
on a future resume. :)

Exactly, I am not pretty glad I got them even if I don't use them.

And... your comeback
was pretty good!

I just wish he would have laughed.

Hers are pretty good.
She's got a funny sense
of humour. :)

I will have to check hers out.

:sad2:

Kids these days.
And stay off my lawn!

*Puts toes on lawn*

Well....

I was thinking...
It was my first MVMCP.

Well, what more of an excuse do you need.

Oh, geez!
She doesn't know me from Adam,
but tell her I'm thinking of her, okay?

And you too.

Thank you very much, I will let her know! All good thoughts are helpful. I can't wait to surprise her by coming home earlier than she expects.

How many days off?

Knowledge is never a bad thing.

I just wish he would have laughed.

Ah well.
File it away for future use.

Dagnabbit!

<sigh>
None, I guess.

I would imagine she would be
pleased... and relieved.

Just being curious, do you work a 21/21 rotation somewhere? I work in oil & gas myself, so there's a lot of people doing rotations. Just wondering.
Don't feel like you have to answer if you want it kept private :)

I currently work 24/4 but I am heading home a couple days early this time around. A bit north of Fort MacMurray

I meant to break it up but my phone didn’t like that.

I’ve got 6 days off this time around!

Exactly, I am always learning when I can.

If there is a sigh and a desire not to write it you shouldn’t but I know many people enjoy your tales!

Yes, I imagine it will be a relief having me there but maybe I overvalue my calming ability aha

24/4??? But... how many cycles? two?

What do you fly to get there?
First Air? B737?

I meant to break it up but my phone didn’t like that.

Quoting on phone
is never easy.

I’ve got 6 days off this time around!

Good.
But... betting it will be
even harder to go back.
You won't want to leave her.

Exactly, I am always learning when I can.

::yes::

If there is a sigh and a desire not to write it you shouldn’t but I know many people enjoy your tales!

No... that's not it.
I was looking at my
Disney photos and...

Lots I've forgotten.
Some I remember.
I guess I'll write it,
but it will most likely
be on the shorter side.
Less writing.

party:

Cut that out!

Yes, I imagine it will be a relief having me there but maybe I overvalue my calming ability aha

I highly doubt that. :)

Nah. I don't think that's possible.

Right…
(wink, wing, nudge, nudge, say no more…)

Me too. Just so.....
sinister.
True…
Crows and Ravens are known for being lefties.

Don't let my Vette owners
or wannabe owners hear you!
Not if they’re honest.
I’m among the group myself, so I believe I can say such.

But would take a brand new one.
Me too…
Then I’d sell it pronto and go looking for something more suitable.

Okay... you serious Clark?
All cons begin with a grain of truth…

Let 'em.
I don't like Jags...
at all.
Not even one of these?

1. Story on the Fortresses? (got one of my own)
Saw this one at the National Museum of the USAF in Dayton…

Twice, actually.

Just standing there looking at it and knowing the consequences of that one particular mission gives you a bit of a chill. Don’t know how else to explain it. Just the gravity of that history tends to lead one toward a bit of reflection. Had the same reaction when I encountered the more famous half of the duo (which you’ve encountered as well) up at the Udvar-Hazy

2. Too bad. The Gimli Glider was scrapped in
2014. Tragic.
That is unfortunate.
That one had quite the story to tell as well.
Surprising also that they were able to put it back into service afterward.

Good.
But... betting it will be
even harder to go back.
You won't want to leave her.

Oh yes, it’s hard every single time but we both understand it will be worth it in the long run.

No... that's not it.

Cut that out!

I like pictures! I just like interacting with people about Disney.

I highly doubt that. :)

Me too, but ya never know!

Ah! Disregard my previous question.
Not bad.

Yea, we done it before briefly when we first met. This 21 days is a long one but it’s just about done! 8 hours of work and we are slow today. Caught up to the welders(we work behind them) so we have to wait for them to weld and for X-ray to make sure everything is up to par.

Right…
(wink, wing, nudge, nudge, say no more…)

back pack attack cat

Everyone should own one.

No... wait...
They'd go after you too.

They just do that.

True…
Crows and Ravens are known for being lefties.

So gauche.

Not if they’re honest.
I’m among the group myself, so I believe I can say such.

Ah. I'm familiar with the phenomenon.

Me too…
Then I’d sell it pronto and go looking for something more suitable.

Not me.
I'd drive it for a bit first.
Like to get the feel for it. :)

All cons begin with a grain of truth…

THAT ISN'T ANSWERING THE QUESTION!!! :snooty:

Not even one of these?

No fair playing dirty.

ohhh...

Interestingly, until this very moment...
I thought it was spelled "Boxcar".

Huh.

That is unfortunate.
That one had quite the story to tell as well.
Surprising also that they were able to put it back into service afterward.

Yep and Yep.

Knew some of the people
involved.
The ATC who was a glider pilot
among a few others.

Oh yes, it’s hard every single time but we both understand it will be worth it in the long run.

Doesn't make it any easier
in the short run.
But good that you have a
positive outlook. :)

We did similar.
I was gone for
most of 10 months,
then a year.

I like pictures! I just like interacting with people about Disney.

Not me.
Not at all.

Nope.

Don't mind the fact that
I'm meeting about 10 or so
of them on this trip. :rolleyes1:

Glad to hear your last day
is a slow one. Good!

Everyone's welcome. There's even beer in the fridge.

I may just have to mosey on over!

Doesn't make it any easier
in the short run.
But good that you have a

I need to stay positive or I won't be able to do it. Always working towards a better tomorrow.

Nope.

You need to add Vancouver to this trip!

Glad to hear your last day
is a slow one. Good!

It ended up being ferociously busy but I made it. Now to head to bead and drive to Edmonton at 3:30 AM

Finally had a few minutes to play catch up today and none of the photos on your last update are working. I think it's a site wide problem though because I've seen a few others with broken photos. I'll have to backtrack and read it once the photos come back.

Also wanted to say, can't wait to meet you on Sunday!
