I just got some emails for my two trips.

Beginning April 1, 2023, for all domestic trips traveling in the United States, Adventures by Disney will no longer require Guests (regardless of age) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the time of their trip, however, it is highly recommended.
Beginning May 1, 2023, Adventures by Disney will no longer require Guests (regardless of age) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the time of their trip for all international River Cruise and Private trips.
Adventures by Disney highly recommends that all Guests be fully vaccinated before they travel.

Here is what was sent for international land adventures and expedition cruises -

Beginning May 1, 2023, Adventures by Disney will only require Guests ages 12 years and older to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the time of their trip for all international Land and Expedition Cruise trips. Adventures by Disney highly recommends that Guests ages 11 and younger be fully vaccinated before they travel.

Guests who are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster shot are strongly encouraged to do so in preparation for their travel. Destinations and local laws may have different requirements and definitions of what constitutes full vaccination and may change those requirements on short notice. This may include requiring additional wait time after the full series of doses and a booster before considering someone fully vaccinated. For international trips, local laws will apply, so it is important that you confirm you meet the requirements for the countries on your trip. Guests who are not considered fully vaccinated may be prevented from traveling to certain destinations. Guests will continue to be required to comply with any trip-specific vaccination requirements, including those required by our cruise operators.

Interesting. I don't understand dropping the requirement for river cruises while retaining it for international land trips and expedition cruises.

I guess it is because there are many countries with many different requirements in terms of vaccination so the safest is to require full vaccination for everyone.

I wondered about that, too. It seems strange to not retain it for the river cruises also.

But why not for the river cruises, also? They go to a lot of different countries, too.

My sister and her family are doing an Adventures by Disney to London/Paris in March…with the Covid policy still in place who checks the vaccinations? I’m curious what the procedure looks like and do you have to be fully boosted

The ABD website says that fully vaccinated is 1 dose of J+J or 2 of a 2 dose vaccine. It doesn't seem like a booster is required.

They use a third party, in my case, in December, they used Anvil. Anvil will email you about 10 days before. They will ask for proof of vaccination. After you submit, it takes a few hours, up to a day, to get confirmation. That’s about it. You don’t have to be fully boosted.

You don't have to be fully boosted for ABD. But if the country you're going to requires a booster, then you need a booster. Fortunately, neither England or France require a booster.

Yes, as an example, Japan is a country that requires at least one booster shot for entry.
.
I was specifically told I need "three vaccinations". I have two doses of the vaccination and one booster, I'm not sure if I should get more booster shots or not. Especially since I'm extremely scared of needles, and it knocks me out for a day or so.

I'm curious, told by whom? And for which trip? But it sounds like you're covered if you've had 2 doses and a booster.

Personally, I worry about airports and airplanes more than anything else, and I've gotten every booster so far (3) including the recent Omicron booster. The introduction of each booster happened to corresponded to just before I was taking a big trip, and it just made me feel safer. I know it may be overkill, but there's no way I'd be traveling without the current Omicron booster. Just like I never travel without the current flu vaccine.

It's for Japan-- but not related to ABD. It was a company that's helping me get schooling in Japan.
I will say that while I've managed to not get get covid since the outbreak, it would suck if I got it while I'm living in a different country. As if I don't have enough to be terrified about.

My DS traveled to Japan in December with two Vax plus one booster. That combo met the tourist requirements for entry. I don’t know if it’s different for someone traveling for schooling. Might be worth doing your own research to be sure what is needed.

My mom and I are the same, we’ve gotten all the boosters as soon as we could. We went to Norway in July 2022 with ABD and I still managed to catch COVID while on the trip. With the timing of the onset of symptoms (the day we flew home) I know I must have contracted in while in Norway and not on either flight. Both my parents tested positive four days later, so I think they likely both contracted it from me. We all had relatively mild cases though, which I attribute to having had all the vaccines and boosters.
