Today is your birthday son. It breaks my heart you cannot be home with your family who loves you so very much, enjoying your birthday and the holidays.

The day you were born was one of the happiest days of my life. I never dreamed my little 5lb 14 oz precious baby boy would some day be in a war. What keeps me going is my faith and knowing how much you love the Army, and you are doing exactally what you love and are trained to do.

Please be safe and remember how much we all love you. Until you're home safe and sound, may your guardian angel watch you and protect you. God Bless all our brave soldiers serving our country and protecting our freedom.
