Post #7 - When Can I Get in the Park with a DAH Ticket?

The 'official' park entry time per Disney is 7:00 pm, regardless of the actual start time of the Disney After Hours event.

If already in the park via other park admission/AP/etc, DAH credentials can be picked up at the Ticket Corner by Discovery Trading.

Post #8 - Miscellaneous Event Info & FAQs

FPs with a DAH Ticket

  • FPs are not available during the DAH event, all rides are standby only.
  • DAH tickets will allow for FP booking during regular park hours prior to the event, so - if you have no other FPs booked that day - one could book FPs during with a DAH ticket during the regular park hours before the event.

Post #10 - DISer Event Review Posts

Hard-ticket events such as Disney Afters Hours are expensive and many of us come to the DIS to decide if these types of things are "worth it." In my opinion, there is no better resource than the collective thoughts, opinions, and experiences of DISers who have attended DAH.

Links to in-thread review/experience posts are posted below. Good, bad, or ugly - all event reviews and experiences are helpful.

Studying the schedule further, I must say I'm surprised by the two weeks with back-to-back nightly DAHs in Feb. Disney must be feeling pretty confident in demand for this! :-)

I'm also very curious to see the actual event times. I assume some dates might end up being 9pm-12am nights vs what the current park calendar suggests, but who knows.

I'll be down there Dec 14-21 so I could do HS on the 15th or AK on the 18th. I will say it's kinda crappy the AK one is the same day as EP EMH.

As long as it doesn't shorten regular park hour, i don't have a problem with it but between 8:00 - 9:00, regular hour visitors are still inside FoP queue so you may have to wait until 9 to ride it with shorter wait

Thank the maker! I've been waiting for them to do this for other parks!

However, I've gone onto FOP 5 minutes before park closing, and the line stayed true to the posted wait of 90 minutes.
Sooo.... do we believe that after hours people would ideally wait until at least 9/930 to go on?

I think the concern there is how many tix are sold, and if people actually are gonna spread around to other attractions.

I know for ME, this is strictly a Pandora night (but i'll of course do something else until 9ish).

Could you see them doing a nighttime safari or does that seem crazy?

Well, they took a lot of time and effort to install night time lighting a couple of years ago.... although the nighttime experience didn't get a ton of positive feedback (we are one of the few odd ones that actually liked it). I'll be curious to see if they run KS during DAH.

This was my first thought regarding FoP as well.

We visited Pandora for the first time on May 7 & 8 of 2018. On Tuesday night, we got in line for FoP about five minutes before closing (which was 10pm that night). It was nearly midnight by the time we got off. I think this was mostly because they stopped running half the theaters, but even so...having to wait an hour or two for regular guests to get through FoP before it's only DAH guests riding...just not sure that will hold enough value for me. (That long pre-show also gets a little old when you're riding back-to-back, haha!)

Of course, it also depends on how many other attractions are open besides the two rides in Pandora. But definitely something I will be considering (and watching for reviews of) before making a decision to purchase tickets. :)
