Disney with Twin Toddlers...wait...We are Big Kids Now...Take 3!

Sitting in the treasure room huge chair and then an outside shot! He was holding up his Pirate Key, which he was infactuated with....until he lost it later in the day!

Her makeup lasted most of the day...she loved it! His lasted less than 90 minutes! It began to crack and he complained that it "itched" him. He began smearing it everywhere, so we finally just gave in and removed it all. Unfortunately, the eyeliner didn't come off with remover wipes (hint...get several of these from Pirates League if you do a full face). It ended up lasting about 4 days...hehe! He got lots of looks through the trip!

From Pirates League, we went and rode the train (a favorite of both kids) for the entire circle! We then rode Peter Pan and the carousel, then headed to Cinderella's castle for our noon reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table. The line for Cinderella was kind of long, but it moved nicely and by 12:20, we were seated!

We were worried that Andrew would hate the meal, but he didn't seem to mind meeting all of the pretty Princesses! They all recognized him as a pirate, which he loved!

Husband and I enjoyed the steak and shrimp meal with the cheese plate and salad for appetizers. The kids didn't eat much, though Anna enjoyed the icing for her make-your-own cupcake dessert!

After CRT, we were off to ride more rides!!! We went back to the carousel once again followed by SDMT, Haunted Mansion, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! The kids have been begging to ride "real rollercoasters" for months now. They are both 40-41", so we were thrilled that they could ride a few. I'm pretty obese, so I was petrified that I wouldn't be able to ride SDMT and was worried about how to deal with the issue if I couldn't. Thankfully, I was fine (not comfortable and had bruises on my thighs for days)...so all was well!

The eyeliner...haha!

First time on SDMT...

Husband and I had on Mickey shirts. We were planning for the kids to change, but they didn't want to...so we just let them wear their costumes all day! Only at Disney is this totally ok and fun!!!

Anna wanted to meet Ariel, so she and I went into her line while the men went to get a snack!

After we rode a few more rides including Little Mermaid, we went back to Guest Services since we had not been notified about a change of our Fantasmic VIP package as we were promised the night before. Over 45 minutes later and now way too late for our ADR at Cape May, we had no resolution to the issue outside of them refunding us the $120 we spent and telling us "We're sorry." We took the resort bus back to Boardwalk Inn, our home resort, and I stopped by their guest services/concierge desk. I nicely explained our situation, my concerns that we would be charged for a dinner we couldn't make in time due to the long time at MK Guest Services, and asked for help. The lady kindly cancelled our ADR without penalty. She offered to try to get us some VIP spots, but it was so late we didn't have time if we were going to see the show. She gave us Fastpasses for Fantasmic, which was better than nothing! Lesson in all of this....don't bother with Guest Services in the parks! Just use them at your resort. They are MUCH more efficient and helpful! Had I gone to them the first night, I'm betting we would have been VIP the second.

We took the Friendship boat to HS, used our Fastpass to enter Fantasmic, husband and kids went to seats, and I ordered us a fine dinner of hotdogs and nachos! We ate our dinner, bought some lightsabers and light up bubble wands, and watched Fantasmic!

We got in bed shortly after Fantasmic and got ready for another fabulous day! More to come...that's it for tonight!

Well, I lied...just one more thing from Sunday... While leaving the park, we stumbled upon the Dance Party. The kids, especially Andrew, LOVED dancing with Jessie! It's a ball and I highly recommend just stopping and having some fun!

The Pirate League looks like a great experience! Glad that Guest Services at your resort was able to help you sort out the Fantasmic issue

Following! We took my twin nieces right before they turned 3 and are planning to take them and big brother again next summer when they are 4.5!

After a long day on Sunday, we knew we would need some down time on Monday. I signed the kids up for the Albatross Pirate Cruise, which is a 2 hour kid-only treasure/pirate hunt in the lagoon between Hollywood Studios and Epcot. I figured it would give my husband and I time to have a nice breakfast together as well! We left Boardwalk around 9 and walked to the Yacht Club Marina.

We were greeted, signed typical Disney release forms and health information paperwork, and got them dressed in their pirate gear (lifejacket and hats). One thing to note is that if your child has asthma, they REALLY prefer you bring a rescue inhaler and give it to them. We medicated Andrew before leaving the hotel and knew he would be fine, but I learned to either leave the info out on the form (if like him having been treated, the odds of an issue were less than 1 in a million) or bring the stupid inhaler!

The kids were loaded on the boat and off they went! They were in search of Stinky Feet, a pirate....who they "smelled" the rest of the trip anytime we walked along the sidewalk between Epcot and HS!

Adam and I enjoyed breakfast at the bakery in France while the kids cruised! They had a great time and returned 2 hours later with tons of pirate loot! The treasure hunt was very real to them and they truly believed that Stinky Feet, the pirate, was very real (a man in pirate attire is spotted by them as they get close to the marina to return...he's hilarious for parents watching).

It was $80 for the two kids. We felt it was an amazing deal! They got snacks, foam swords, pirate hats (nice ones actually), and a treasure box of various loot (gems, rings, rubber ducky, etc). After our pirate cruise, we went back to Boardwalk to swim and enjoy some more nachos by the pool!

Even Adam and I went down the slide a few times! We enjoyed a couple of hours swimming, then decided to head to Hollywood Studios. We were hungry after swimming and I was able to snag a last minute reservation for Mama Melrose's. Adam loves Italian food, so I knew he'd be delighted! Plus, the reservation was early so we knew we would be ready for our dessert party later!

Next up...Mama Melrose and Star Wars Dessert Party! Probably tomorrow though...

That pirate hunt is such a cute idea! I had no idea that such a thing even existed. Loving that the eyeliner is still on your son :rotfl:

Hi there :wave2: . I was a reader of your last trip report and love this new TR so far! I'm also a mom of boy/girl twins; although mine are 15 years old now and the oldest of our bunch. Your twins have gotten so big. I think 4 is such a magical age for WDW. On our first Disney trip our middle DD was 4 and on our second trip our youngest DS was 4. Our most recent trip (which was also our third trip with our kiddos) was this past March and it was our 3 year old DD's very first Disney trip. She had a blast and we are hoping to go back within the next couple of years (most likely to tag along for DD15's high school dance team/marching band Disney trip ). I also did a trip report for our March trip, but Photobucket's policy changes pretty much sabotaged all my report's photos :sad2:.
The PL makeovers turned out so adorable and those outfits were too cute and coordinated so well with the makeovers, especially your daughter's princess dress. I love that your twins are all for these new adventures. I just love the preschool age. It's so much fun. :goodvibes

After swimming, we got dressed and headed back to Hollywood Studios for the third night in a row (not part of the original plan to be there 3 nights...but I'm flexible)! Anna fell asleep in route to Mama Melrose's, where we booked a last minute early dinner since we were all hungry from swimming! While she slept, the boys rode Star Tours again as that was Andrew's favorite ride!

Dinner was wonderful as usual. If you haven't been, Mama Melrose's is a solid good Italian dinner in the parks. Nothing too crazy fancy, but have never had a bad experience there. Andrew enjoyed their Spaghetti and Meatball Cupcake ($3 upcharge, which was fine with us), though I regret not photographing it sooner as my one picture doesn't show much outside of the aftermath!
22228580_10154907177058038_2537612104160526830_n.jpg

After dinner, we watched Muppet Vision 3D.

We had hoped to ride TOT one more time, but didn't want to miss anything in the Star Wars Dessert Party, so we headed in that general direction. In hindsight, there's tons of time at the dessert party...so ride TOT if you want to!

We took a photo with Jake since his line was short and we had a few extra minutes. You'll notice Andrew's eyeliner is still holding strong! This is despite pool time, lotion, make up remover, etc...

22195320_10154907188798038_1894071757993030802_n.jpg

After meeting Jake, Anna was upset about TOT and it took a LOT to appease her (including a trip to the bathroom to have a stern talk about her behavior). She finally realized that the Star Wars Dessert Party was Andrew and Daddy's special event for the trip. She calmed down and actually enjoyed herself more than she expected, I believe!

Star Wars Dessert Party time!!!

Overall, I thought this party was wonderful. It was supposed to be the first of 3 dessert parties booked for the week, but ended up being our only one. It was great and we had a good time, but it taught us that we just aren't dessert party people in general. The options included sweet and savory items. I ended up eating way more tomatoes, cheese, and olives than sweet items! I did have 4 alcoholic drinks and can tell you that I won't ever make that mistake again! They were small and not overly strong, but were just too sweet after a long hot day and evening.

My biggest negative is that there is nowhere to sit at these events other than steps and the rock "walls" inside the Star Wars Launch Bay. After walking a ton, standing for another 2 hours just didn't appeal to us...especially with 2 small children and no short tables. Plus, we now know we don't care to stand and eat. On the positive, the desserts were wonderful and meeting the characters totally made my kids' night!

Andrew got the first event lanyard...and wore it daily through the remainder of the trip!
22221553_10154907177063038_1168712884565214600_n.jpg

And Anna wasn't miserable either...she knew her special event was coming at the end of the trip.

Meeting Kylo Ren was Andrew's life goal. He was just in awe! I figured I'd let Daddy handle this one while I stayed with our desserts and drinks! Anna was petrified by him. Andrew was completely spell-bound!

This was as close as Anna was getting...hehe!

Despite her being freaked out with Kylo Ren, she absolutely LOVED BB-8!
22196421_10154907188893038_6975457302428397450_n.jpg

And I took the kids to meet Chewbaca. I was afraid Anna would be scared of him, yet he was a hit with all 3 of us! He was really great at interacting with us all!
22279844_10154907188923038_8076998081225463979_n.jpg

After the party was ending, we were escorted to the viewing area where we had the privilege of standing for the show. I'm not a big Star Wars fan and wasn't feeling well thanks to my poor judgement (cupcakes and margaritas are NOT a healthy or smart combination), so I was struggling to even stand through it. Adam and Andrew loved it! Anna tolerated it...I think we were both on the same page other than the fact that she didn't drink...obviously!

We got back to Boardwalk Inn late that evening and all got in bed as Tuesday was our Early Morning Magic Day! For those who may not be aware, most resorts offer bedrails! Our two didn't match, but did their job all week! As you can see, the rooms here are generous enough for strollers (there was a better place for it, but we used that area for the 20 pairs of shoes I packed...yes...I have an issue...especially with Anna...who had probably 16 of those pairs)!

More to come tomorrow! Good night!

It persisted...a LONG LONG time. Pretty much until the last day! There are pirate cruises at Yacht Club Marina (Albatross) and another one that leaves from the Grand Floridian Marina. We had seen one leaving at POR years ago and thought it looked super fun for kids...which is the only way we even knew about it. The POR one ended earlier this year, but the other two are going strong!

I thought it was a very affordable, fun thing for kids that was not theme-park related. Our two loved it, though were probably a tad young in terms of really getting the entire treasure map and all. It's definitely something we hope to let them do again!

Tuesday was a VERY busy day for us! We got up super early to head to Magic Kingdom for Early Morning Magic. If you aren't aware of this special experience, you should be!!! It's an extra fee event held 3 days a week. The ticket includes a buffet breakfast and 75 minutes of park time with no crowds! SDMT, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, the Carousel, and Small World were the attractions opened on our morning. We walked into the park at 7:45 am on the dot!

First, we had a few family photos taken in our coordinating family outfits (since we missed the opportunity in our Mickey clothes on Sunday when the kids refused to take off their costumes)..

We then went straight to 7DMT. We literally rode it 4 times in a row...got off, walked around the corner, and got right back on. No lines, no wait. The kids were totally in love!

First ride of the morning...

Second and all future rides...
21766359_1550309538348007_6639480230848172639_n.jpg

After our 4th ride, we walked over to Peter Pan and rode it 5 times in a row! When the kids had enjoyed it completely, we rode Winnie the Pooh twice. We then rode the carousel and Small World. At that point, it was 8:58am and we rushed over to ride SDMT one last time with no waits! We had Fastpasses for the Indie Speedway, so we went over and rode the cars with no waits! By then, we were hungry so we went to Pinocchio's Village Haus for a nice buffet breakfast.

Once we finished breakfast, the crowds were building. We rode Haunted Mansion and then went over to ride People Mover, but on the way over...we had to stop and buy some Mickey headwear!

21616083_1545807565464871_4107837044138676044_n.jpg

After riding People Mover, we decided that it was hot and we were all ready for a swim! We went back to Boardwalk and swam about 90 minutes and snacked on nachos and hotdogs (yes...that's what my kids eat way too much of...we know...). With full bellies and tired, we all left the pool and went to our room for a 2.5 hour nap because our day was not over!

We met iMan on the way out! The kids were fascinated with him, though he didn't see them for a long time (they were shorter and kind of behind him). A super nice Cast Member spoke to him and brought our two to his attention. Just a small part of Disney magic!
