Do TAs get special courtesies on making Fastpasses?

Curious. I've read many times over about people having their TAs make their fast passes. Now, we all know how much a battle it is to get a FP for things like Slinky Dogs, FOP, etc. You can be on your computer at 7:00am on the right day out......but things are booked. How does that happen? Do TAs have a system similar to what Ticket Master got slammed for years ago (back in the day when you tried to get Bruce Springsteen tickets, LOL and got shut out by Ticket Master)....it was discovered that there was some way scalpers could get bunches of tickets automatically. (I digress...) but anyway, so do TAs have the same thing with WDW or do they all set their alarm clocks every day to jump on the computer for their clients????

They use the same system. Things are booked because others were able to select your date already because they have an earlier arrival date. Plan for the hard to get ones at the end of your trip (assuming you are onsite).

Exactly. Your 60 day booking window for onsite is triggered for the entire stay based on the first night of your stay. So if you log in at 7am 60 days ahead of your 4-night stay, someone with a 7 night stay ending at the same time as your trip was able to book for all of your dates 3 days earlier.

If you're booking at 30 days due to no onsite stay, the answer is even more simple: all the FPs have been booked by guests with on-site hotel stays at the 60 day mark.

TA's don't have any special access/better ability to book FP than anyone else who logs in to book FP. It's really a matter of timing, and what day of your trip you're trying to book (FP will generally be easier to book later in your trip than earlier). The advantage that TAs *might* have (and I say might because TA's vary in experience and skill) is that they've booked enough vacations that they have a good feel for which FP's may be most likely to be available at which point in someone's vacation. But access to them is the same as everyone.

A travel agent who has bookings for several families/parties can make Fastpass reservations for only one at a time. It could take the entire 7 to 8 AM hour to go through them all.

Want to book your FPs sooner? Stay Club Level and pay $$$ for the new special FPs, then you can book 90 days out. OR you can stay at any on-property hotel and just have longer stays so you can feasibly book FPs as far out as 70 days or more depending on the length of your stay.

LOL yup the only way to get better access to FP is to give Disney more $$$ (either by paying for much longer stays onsite, or by paying for the Club level upgrade and ALSO paying for the FP)
