Dreams / DIS Exclusive London/Paris/DLP Adventure Oct 4th - 13th 2019

Hello! We had a very pleasant Skype chat on Sunday with a few Adventurers. We are fortunate that a few have been to London and Paris before and could share their experiences. We discussed a some possible plans prior to the adventure and when we are not with our ABD guides.

For October 3, some of us are looking to book a High Tea. It could be more difficult for a large group, so we hope to discuss a time and location during our next chat.

There was interest in possibly taking in a play or musical. Here's a link to what's being offered: http://www.playbill.com/article/schedule-of-upcoming-london-shows

We are looking at taking the Warner Brothers Studio Harry Potter Tour on October 4. We'd like to schedule the 10 am tour to give us plenty of time to return for the ABD dinner. I've been told it's a fascinating tour whether you have only a passing interest in the books and films or if you are planning to pack your house robes and wand. In London on Day 2, dinner is on our own. There was interest in the soon-to-open Davies & Brook. Link: https://www.claridges.co.uk/restaurants-bars/davies-and-brook/

Since we'll be at the Eiffel Tower on October 8 (Day 5) and we are to have lunch on our own, we thought it would be fun to eat in the Jules Verne Restaurant, which will be newly refurbished. Link: https://www.restaurants-toureiffel.com/en/jules-verne-restaurant/lunch.html

Dinner is on our own on October 9 (Day 6). If you're a fan of the film "Midnight in Paris," you might want to eat at Epicure. Link: https://www.oetkercollection.com/hotels/le-bristol-paris/restaurants-bar/restaurants/epicure/

Hopefully, I got all these dates sorted out properly. For anyone who would like to join in the conversation and planning, we plan to meet for another Skype call on Sunday, April 28 at 1 pm (PT).

Sorry we missed the Skype chat. I totally forgot about it. After showing Tina this post she said every thing looks great and we should do them all. We have been to London before but this will be our first Paris trip. I would love to help with some of the planning if there is help needed. Ron...

Michael - Sorry we missed the last call. Last minute scheduling conflict. We plan to join the call in April to discuss all of the ideas you outlined above. This sounds like a terrific start!

I'm in a similar boat as Ron. I've been to London before but Paris has only been guided day tours including lunch in the Eiffel Tower which was absolutely awesome!

Thank you for putting together the Skype summary. I won't be able to participate but greatly appreciate the information. Thank you!

I'd am going to be researching going to a Tottenham FC game. It is still too early for information on next season. The stadium is new and my DH is showing me pictures of the Club Lounge there to entice me. I'll keep everyone posted.

Thanks for all of this information, Michael!!

I see that Brexit has been delayed until 10/31. That means one less issue to deal with on this trip as we won't be needing to clear customs/immigration/passport control when we go from London to Paris.

Great to hear. At the rate there government is handling this situation I'm sure this is a good thing for them and us.
