DVC availability

Is there a way to see how many rooms are available in each category? I'm looking to book 2 separate rooms, same category, for one night, but when I view availability I can't see if there's more than one room available. I know the info has to be somewhere b/c I was seeing it on a site I subscribed to before it got shut down.

I don't know of anywhere that you can view the specifics of how many rooms are available. All I know of is on DVC Member, where you can see if there's availability but it could be either one room is available, or 25 of that room category is/are available. If there is or ever was that specific information somewhere, I don't know but I'd sure like to!

The DVC online reservation system is not set up to provide anyone with number of available rooms. I have seen prior mention by members who called MS and were old many or few were available, but MS is not required to provide such info.

Ok thanks. The site I was using previously was a DVC member that was pulling real time data, so it would show how many rooms were actually available under each category. I just assumed that data was available, no idea how they were getting it otherwise.

The info was being pulled from the page coding. There’s a way to do it yourself. Let me see if I can find it….

When I have to book/modify multiple rooms I chat with MS and ask if enough rooms are available and they do it for me

You can log in, start the process of booking one room, then select the room and go to the page where you start to enter the names of the guests. This will lock that room out from being booked by anyone else while it waits for you to complete the process. Then at that point open an Incognito/Private browser window, log in again, and check for availability. If a second room is available it will show up. You can then book both rooms by switching between the regular browser window and the Incognito one.

Thanks so much all, when I have access to my laptop later I’m going to try to figure it out on my own. As of right now, I can’t log in to my DVC account from my phone, so I’m wondering if they are in the process of loading my points today 🤞🏻

Yeah it's a pretty easy check on the devtools of your browser. Was really depressing seeing how many rooms were left in popular resort/category at 11 months + 1 day out at the busy times. Margin for error feels so tiny when it's only a room or two left.
I don't know, my DVC satisfactions would've probably been higher had I not seen how tight the inventory gets during the fall/holidays. Just seeing the available days ahead without too much info on the exact number of rooms is more comforting :)

And that's most likely the reason they don't just publicly display it when booking.
