First Time Renter - Disney Car Care Advice

Coming over at end of September and want to hit Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens.
Would be my first time ever renting a car. Looking at getting the convertible as always wanted to drive one. Know about shuttle to park but also want to spend day at park and take in my own time.
Would be picking up around 7.30am so can get the shuttle over to the car. Would not be returning until maybe 2-2.30am and looking for advice on this.

1)Is it easy returning the car after hours? Has anyone had any problems?
2)Will it be easy to get an uber/lyft back to POP at that time in the morning?

Look into renting at the CCC, but returning to the Dolphin. Hotel is open 24 hours, return to Valet, rideshare seems easier to get at hotel than at closed/deserted business.
