First trip home- report

Just back from a quick but wonderful first trip home! DW, 2 DS ages 5 years and 7 years( + 51 weeks)...first two days at BWV(our home)-last 2 at OKW...did MNSSHP last night. Also did the last EE or surprise morning ever and saw the replacement Character Charavan today. More on that later...

We bought sight unseen so all of this was new to us. BWV was really great, the location is wonderful, the nightlife cool, and on the afternoon with a little rain sprinkle you really felt you were oceanside. Love the hallways made to look like you are outdoors. Also liked being close to an elevator... Studio-Room 4066. Ceiling fan wobbled on entry, fixed immediately. No spoons provided, corrected immediately!

OKW was a different story. The resort is lovely, but a bit quiet for our taste. What was bad was our room. We had the worst location imaginable. 5010. A disabled person's room (no tub-luckily our sons recently became willing to take showers or we would have had to moved again) Maybe it was because it was for a disabled person, but this studio did not feel much bigger than BWV. The room is 7/10 mile from Hospitality House, 2/10 from the nearest ice machine/bus stop (and that is far with a sleepy kid in tow or arms)...it is close to Buena Vista Road outside and 4 air conditioners both of which make plenty of noise. The balcony looks out to the busy Buena Vista Road and if you lean you could see the golf course. Every one us whacked our shins on the bed frames at least twice in the two days. And the bus system foiled us. Sat night on returning it left us at the Hospitality House to wait another 10 minutes for an internal bus. Sunday we parked at Hospitality House, which this time was the last stop after the bus did go thru the entire resort for 15 minutes, turning the 7 minute ride from MNSSHP into a 22 minute ride.

MNSSHP was fun but definitely crowded right up to midnight! Our kids were not the only ones able to party 'til closing. I don't mean it was overwhelming crowds, but after reading about E-nights when the park seemed empty I expected somewhat thinner crowds as the night went on...no such luck. Lots of folks everywhere... Filled the Riverboat -packed, Haunted Mansion re-opened the fast pass machines as did Peter Pan, since the lines got so long.

As of today, Surprise Mornings, or EE is gone as rumored. 4 characters visit the resort guests from 7:30 til parks open on Mon Wed, Fri only...also Epcot hours shaved back- Epcot opens at 10 am not 9, and Future World closes at 7 pm not 9pm. World Showcase opens at noon, not 11am and still closes at 9pm...

Poolhopped to SAB-it was a blast. WL and VWL seen for first time---amazing!! WOW! Theming there was remarkable...we will definitely be interested in staying there...(anybody with VWL points looking to swap reservations for our BWV sometime to use the 11 months advantage has an interested party here)

Well that's enough for now, many more happy thoughts and impressions, and magical memories. Any questions, I will be happy to answer...

Paul
